Children cannot drive - is there a purpose, or reason, behind this which I am missing?

They sure turn me off of that certain car or dealer, and they are not "memorable" to me. I think that they are childish.
Sounds to me like you did remember the "Gumby" commercial since you mentioned it! :)
GEICO's "Hump Day" commercial is probably just as childish and yet it was very popular. Nothing is going to appeal to everyone. They play the percentages!
I do not know what the "Hummp Day" commercial was, all that I can say is Geico's gecko is real. I have seen commercials onTV for several ads and I do not know the figures/figurines. I hear Gumby on the radio and I know who that is.
The hump day commercials use the Camels becasue they have humps.
It sure turns me off - if I was buying - of that car or dealer.
I am well Kim, I hope that you are and Happy New Years to you to!
The actor/actress, or nobody, the animated figure deters me from the the car/dealer.
I agree. I have seen that one also and several others on TV which I forget who it was. The only one that I remember is on the radio with Gumby. They all turn me off though. I do not remember the cars or dealers.
I mute commercials. I do not like all the commercials and most of them are stupid and do not intice me to buy things, or go sue someone for a drug or medical accident.
I mute commercials which I do not want to listen to but not all because I want to hear the show as soon as it returns. Unfortunately I often have to mute the commercials right before the show returns and I miss part of the show.
