Bubba Really Keeps Drinks Hot or Cold for Hours

Updated on February 19, 2015

You bet! My Bubba Keg 16 oz HERO keeps my coffee hot. Even after 8 hours it's still warm.

Yesterday I changed my drink and filled my HERO to the brim with fresh hot green tea.

I did take the morning chill off the cup by first filling it with hot tap water, then letting it sit on the counter while the tea brewed.

Perched in my car's console beverage holder I escaped the city early enough in the morning to avoid any traffic muddles, heading for the green mountains. I cheered all the smart drivers (really a few of us) going in my direction - they all saw the Exit Sign and obeyed.

We valiant ones smiled and smirked at those dotted lines of cars plodding along like tortoises dawdling Four-by-Four in the opposing direction on the two parallel bridges carrying the morning rush hour traffic snarls into the city. We coasted along as if propelled by giant exhalations of joy from the occupants of the car following ours, each in turn.

My hot tea swilled around inside my HERO bathing in its own pot of joy. Heading eastward is always a great delight for me, and I already knew I'd not be stopping until I reached the summit of that great mountain pass. I would stretch and pop the top of the insulated container to imbibe in my morning tea in the great outdoors, celebrating the wonderful magnetism of the mountains with their exhilarating 360degree vista.

After I kept my appointment with the realtor in my small town destination and having the property search balloons bust at each location I stopped for a snack and soaked in the small town atmosphere with a cuppa coffee before heading West for my turn at in the tortoise slog, as suburb workers returned en mass to their urban homes.

Entering the city we had some moments of stop-n-go and I took advantage of the stops to drink the last of my green tea. It was still warm after 8 hours in the jug and it tasted and felt so nice.

Picking and choosing just the right beverage container for all my property hunting jaunts was something I dreaded. Who wants to not-find their dream spot and drink lukewarm coffee too? Thanks to Bubba, I did it! I bought the best insulated beverage cup, with the handy and secure nubby grip, so my coffee's hot and the mug stays in my hand, meaning the coffee stays in the mug when it's not in my tummy yet.

Now if my kids were young I'd be choosing some bright colors for their drink holders and the first one I'd buy is the red star.

Have some fun and learn more about Bubba.

@takkhisa: That's a fine suggestion takkhis! It's funny how one can bond with a drink container, but this one is sure to stay in my grasp and not in my lap.
