Car Travel Blankets - 12V Electric Heated Automobile Travel Blanket

Updated on July 3, 2013

Keep Warm On Your Drive With A Heated Car Travel Blanket

Disputes about the internal temperature of a vehicle are a thing of the past once you buy a 12V heated car travel blanket. These handy automobile accessories plug in to the 12V cigarette lighter and warm up just like a regular electric blanket to provide your passengers with a snuggly throw blanket under which to keep warm. They are ideal for people who feel the cold more than others to ride in comfort without making the internal temperature unbearable for everyone else in the vehicle. People with circulatory disorders, older relatives who feel the cold more and just plain 'chilly mortals' as my mother would put it, will be well served by a heated electric car blanket or heatable throw cover for automobile passengers allowing you to keep the temperature at a more comfortable level for you whilst you drive.

Electric heated blankets for cars are great in the wintertime for warming up fast before the heater kicks in. They are also perfect for those long car journeys where your passengers may want to sleep or cat nap to pass away the time faster, or before they take their own stint at the wheel. It can get cold sleeping in a car and you can wake up stiff and sore but the soothing warmth of an electric heatable blanket throw cover helps lessen this allowing you to sleep sounder and wake up more refreshed.

The following selection of electric blankets for cars which heat up via the cigarette lighter socket plug have received good reviews by their owners so you can be assured of buying a product which works and serves its purpose well.

Useful Automotive Heated Blanket Accessories

All heatable car blankets and 12V electric heated throws connect into the lighter socket to provide power which is fine until you want to use that same socket for multiple blankets, or need a longer connection for people in the back seat which is especially true when your user is in the second row of seats in a family SUV. Thankfully, you can buy both cigarette lighter port splitters to enable more than one item to be plugged in a time, whether that be a mobile phone to be charged, or an extra blanket or two and there are also lighter extension cables which extend this plug socket out a few extra feet as well.

This is a problem we have in our car. I get hot and can't stand it, but everyone else is cold! Great idea.

This is a really great idea. I sure could have used it when I lived in Wisconsin. I was always looking for a small electric lap blanket because I was so cold so often.
