Eco Friendly Green Car Wash

Updated on September 26, 2012

Green car wash

We are all used to washing our car with soaps and detergents. This has been the way since years. Some people occasionally give it out for a full body service wash at a nearby service station. Taking the car for a car wash seemed more like a luxury factor. But, people have become more environmentally concerned and have begun to realize and understand the harm that self car washing does to the environment.

Why and how?

Washing your car in your driveway or garage with a whole lot of water, soap or detergents is a major reason for water pollution. All the oil and grease, along with the detergents gets washed into the sewer drains and eventually drained into the lakes, rivers and other water bodies. These are potential contaminants and deteriorate the quality of water leading to the death of aquatic life. This is the first reason why stress is being laid nowadays on eco car wash.

Life on the earth without water is simply unimaginable. With the increasing population, the demand for water is also raising. The need for water conservation is very high and therefore all possible methods of saving water have to be followed. Washing the car with a garden hose by oneself, makes use of much more water quantity than used by eco car wash services.

The car wash service centers are required by law to recycle the water released from each car wash or sewer treat it before releasing it into the water bodies to ensure that no ecological hazard is created through this. The amount of water used for an eco car wash is much less as compared to a home car wash. Therefore it is best advised to take your car to an automatic car wash center.

If you do not have an eco car wash center nearby, then you can easily buy green car wash products easily available in the market. With these eco friendly products, you can wash your car at home without causing much environmental damages. Such products will have a composition that will cause no damage to the environment.

Search the market for biodegradable car wash detergents. They break down into harmless constituents while in water and do not cause any harm to the neighboring water bodies. In this way, the pollution factor can be avoided. The next step of eco car wash is to reduce the water consumption. If you do not have an eco car wash nearby, then search for a self service bay. Self service bay is a car wash space, where one can wash his car by himself. The water used here is either recycled or sewage treated. There is easily obtainable water-less car wash products like spot cleaners. It is applied via a spray bottle onto the car surface and is wiped off with a cloth. This leaves your car sparkling clean without the use of any water.

Simple techniques like using water from a bucket instead of the garden hose can help save water. In case you are using an eco friendly car wash detergent, you can wash it away on your grass. This prevent the loss of water and at the same time water your grass too.

      Hi

That was a good example for the point you are trying to make. I am a medical student and what I am

planning to do when I graduate and have my own clinic is to make sure that I follow-up on my patients

and giving their next appointment dates.

      Thanks

Amazing lens! Before washing my car, I usually wait for the rain to come and expose the car to the raindrops, to wash away the heavy dirt and then only start washing it. Using rainwater would be another great option, although the eco-green car wash you represented in this lens seems to be the best choice.

Great Products! I still have a bottle of Ecolo-Car & Ecolo leather with my, both these products work very well together, unfortunately too short on time these days so prefer sending my car over for an organic cleaning with steam from DetailXperts :)

We have to find a way to fight chemicals by making anti-chemicals to neutralize the pollutants. We should learn from nature, every bit if it is recycled, not a minuscule of a fragment is wasted.
