Review of Meguiar's Detailing Kit for Motorcycle use.
I was sad to find out the Meguiar's company no longer offers a detailing kit specifically for motorcycles like they have in the past. I have purchased the Meguiar's Motorcycle Care Kit in the past to rejuvenate my late model motorcycles and the products worked great! So when it was time to sell my 2000 Kawasaki Vulcan, 1998 Honda CBR600F3, and my vintage 1978 Honda Goldwing in favor of a new "iron horse", I wanted to detail them prior to putting them up for sale so that I could get the maximum dollar amount out of the sales. I turned to the Meguiar's Complete Car Car Kit instead as the products were similar to the ones included in the Meguiar's Motorcycle Care Kit.
Once the Meguiar's Complete Car Car Kit arrived, I got down to business on readying my motorcycles for sale. I used the Meguiar's Gold Class Car Wash Shampoo and Conditioner, the wash mitt, and microfiber towel to thoroughly wash each bike and remove all the grit and dust.
Cloudy turn signal lenses on the Goldwing, no problem. Using PlastX with a small hand buffer cleaned up these pieces and made them look like new. It is easier to remove the turn signal lenses in order to buff them.
Scratches in painted surfaces, not a problem, ScratchX 2.0 removed a rather nasty scratch in the paint one of the Goldwing's side covers. Also removed some fine scratches in my Vulcan's gas tank caused by the zipper on my clothing.
What should I used on the motorcycle seats and dashboard? The Quik Interior Detailer is the answer. It revitalized the interior of my Goldwing's Vetter fairing and made the seat look like new.
What should I do with the clay bars included with the kit? You have a car don't you? Use the Quik Detailer to lubricate the clay bar and remove oxidation from the paint job of your late model automobile.
What about with the Endurance High Gloss tire dressing and the Gold Class Liquid Wax? I do not recommend putting any tire dressing on motorcycle tires. Use the Endurance High Gloss tire dressing and Gold Class Liquid Wax on your car. It is difficult to apply liquid wax to motorcycle parts.
Nothing goes to waist. If you can't use a product in this kit on your motorcycle it can be used on your car. I definitely recommend this product for motorcycle and automotive use.
I only use Meguiar's genuine Microfiber Cloths to dry my cars and motorcycles. Using old towels to dry your vehicle can damage the paint!
I only use Meguiar's Microfiber Wash Mitt to wash my cars and motorcycles. These wash mitts are designed to be gentle on the paint job.
