Irrespective of whatever business you are into you always need more leads to get more customers for your business. There are many ways using which you can always acquire new customers for your business.
1) Sharing your business with your Contact List
You might feel this is crap. I am asking you to share your business with you own contacts rather than finding new & fresh customers. But let me tell you that your own people are your market.
Many times we make this big mistake of not sharing our business within our own network. I always believe in fact that irrespective of whatever business you are into you must share it with people in your own network. I call it – “Never Prejudge anyone”.
It means any one can get you the business. Once you start sharing the business with people you never know they can get you the business. Therefore, your own network has big potential to get direct business for you. Or even they can indirectly help you by giving some reference.
2) Newspaper advertisement
Recently I had an advertisement in one of the leading newspaper for my business, and without any surprise I found great response. Some of you may feel that its quite common or old was to market the business. But I can tell you that this is still one of the most effective way.
Also one need not to get into much of mess to get business. You don’t need any technical skill or knowledge to generate fresh business. As it is the case in some other methods. Anyone can simple start having their advertisements in the newspaper & at very next day or so can start getting new business leads.
3) Talking with strangers
Now this is a weird way to generate leads for your business. Talking with strangers you meet in your day to day life. I do it sometimes & have cracked couple of deals as well. I always believe that on should not restrict self to be a copy cat & just go by following all the rules.
Rather you should try out any innovative way that you can. What you can do is, like when you travel in a metro or any public transport you can build rapport & connect with people around you. You may also jell with people in shopping malls, restaurants, gyms, & other such places.
Key over here is to build a strong relation first with prospective leads you may find in this process. If you get a chance to connect with potential leads you must first spend some time in building good relation, then only you shall go ahead & pitch the business.
4) Posting Advertisement on Classified websites
I have found this technique as one of the best for me. I have generated thousands of leads using this method. And the best thing is its free. In your country you must look out for “free classified website”, “business listing websites”, and so on.
Search with these keywords & you will find some websites that allow you to post your business advertisement. But make sure you post your business advertisement at atleast 3-4 websites. Also post 1-2 advertisements on each website per day.
Do it like this:
Make 1 Advertisement - post this advertisement on 3-4 different websites.
And do this for next 15-20 days. This way you will have good number of advertisements on various classified websites in your country & for sure you will start getting good number of fresh leads for your business.
5) Attending meet up & seminars
This option works like a charm. There are many meet ups & seminars takes place near you. My friend use to convince me to attend such meets where all kind of people use to come like entrepreneurs, employees, etc. But I never took him seriously until I went for a meet.
There I got an opportunity to meet with like minded people, had a chance to interact with them, know them, & genuinely got some prospective business only because of the reason I went for that 1 meet.
Now I am always looking for meet up & such seminars so that I could get an opportunity to connect with more like minded people. Also there is an great opportunity to learn from others. Its really an amazing way to know & network with people.
6) Using Social Network where your audience spends time
We all know today everyone is spending good amount of time online, mostly on various social networking websites like – Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, etc. And where there are so many people online its obvious that these platform are targeted by marketers to connect with their target markets to generate more business.
One of the most important thing when you try to market your business using social media is, you must 1st know where your target audience spends maximum time when it comes to social media. As there are many social websites these days & its not possible to build a great profile or make a very strong presence of your brand on alls social media websites at once.
What you should do is, understand which is the social network platform where your target audience spends maximum time & then start creating your strong presence there. Because if you try to build your presence of all social sites at once, you may fall flat.
The right way is to build presence on one website at once. When you start getting decent response from one social website, then you can start focusing on other site.
7) Start Blogging
I will take an example of an entrepreneur I met at a seminar few days back. There he met some bloggers who told him how he can benefit his business by doing blogging.
I was connected with that entrepreneur on facebook & I saw he started writing blogs & sharing on social networks. Soon I am seeing he is already developing good number of fresh leads for his business. He is finding & connecting with people who are interested in his business.
Recently he also organized a meet under his companies brand, where he invited many bloggers who in return wrote about his business & shared further with their audiences. This has given huge boost to his business in few months.
These are some of the great techniques that one can use of generate more leads for the business. I have myself seen this in past few months.
That entrepreneur example I shared connects the above mentioned points very well. That guy used social media to connect with people, then he met 1 blogger in a seminar, from there he learnt how blogging can help his business, then he advertised about bloggers meet & finally arranged a seminar under his brand.
Within few months he has raised his business to the next level. Just want to beware you that, these techniques work very well but only if you strategize them properly & then you implement it.
