The Promise of a Shiny Object

Avoid Shiny Objects

Before you get the wrong idea, shiny things are not evil. But when it comes to learning how to make money online for beginners, they certainly don't help.

People are so funny. Most of the time they are so very predictable.

This shiny new object glides by, and we all gather round to admire the shine.

Have you ever seen how cats and kittens go crazy over shiny things. It is amusing to view a cat try to catch up with a teeny shifting luminary object, like the glint off of your watch crystal. She really senses she can get it.

You know what's even funnier than the cat thinking she can catch it?

We do too... think we can catch the shiny object.

So, what is a shiny object? A "shiny object" is that thing that draws our attention as it flashes by. It's the promise of quick answers to help you make money online faster and easier. It's some smooth talking Internet bazillionaire telling you how he is going to reveal his secret, and it will make you rich beyond your wildest imagination.

When you are in the make money online business, there is no shortage of shiny objects. They are flashing all around us. They look really... well... SHINY.

Avoid them at all costs (pun intended). Most of the time they are indeed very expensive. After all they will make you a 6-figure income in a matter of minutes, or days, or at the very least in a month... NOT.

Don't get mesmerized by the hypnotic effect of that shiny object.

Put on blinders if you have to. Stay focussed on a simple learning program.

Here's a really great idea: make a pact with your spouse or an accountability partner that you need two people to agree before buying anything shiny.

If you are just starting out in the make money online business, or even if you are already making a little money, the key is to stay with a simple learning program.

Remember the words from "Sound of Music"?

Let's start at the very beginning..
It's a very good place to start..

You truly can become prosperous in the make money online business with an uncomplicated, hassle-free plan that will take you from the start to the finish. Many of us have proven that.

Don't tire of plodding along.

Once you are familiar with the fundamentals, you can try something a bit more glitzy, but put it off till you get to the finish.
