A Smile Should Not Be Forgotten

Updated on August 12, 2017

Smile! You Are Alive

Let the Venting Session Begin....

So I have noticed at work that a smile goes along way. It’s a shame that I do not see it more at work or in the world generally. I work at a retailer so I see many patients and customers daily. I see a lot of people in check out lines that get frustrated and complain that the workers here are not friendly. It frustrates me to see that because if people leave and go to another store that’s business we lost and will now have to win back. And as customers started to point this out to me I have begun to see what they are talking about.

A Smile Can Influence Someone's Day

A smile goes along way. You never know what people are dealing with or what they are going through at the moment in time. I have always taken it upon myself to share a friendly smile with a stranger. The world needs more smiles. The world needs more free hugs. And the world needs friendlier people. It ticks me off to see these associates who represent this retailer not really caring at all about their job except for when that check comes. It uses to be when I started working here that everyone was so friendly and would go out of their way to make sure you had a great experience at the store. Now, it’s like it is a chore for some of these people to just carry out their job.

It is not just at my work that I have noticed this, it seems to be everywhere. I miss that “going the extra mile” with customer service. There have been times that I may have had a bad day or something tragic was going on and I may not have been the friendliest with a patient, but I still tried my best to show professionalism. This world needs a change for people to smile and be nicer to people and spread that cheer around. We are alive, breathing and living out our lives daily. So I ask those who read this to please smile more, say hello or have a nice day. You may never realize the impact that it can have on an individual. I can’t tell you how many customers appreciate a smile and say thank you for the smile.

The World Needs More Free Hugs

Smiles are free. So is being a kind human being. I am not sure why it is so hard for some people just to frown all the time or be rude. Life is short. We need to laugh and love more. A smile is a simple act of kindness. It can impact a soul real quick. We all have battles that we face being human. So just be kind and smile.

I am generally serious by nature but when i get to laughing am getting on it LOL. Anyways a smile is good and it sends a nice solemn message where as it is said that a frown takes so much more muscles than a smile.

Well i don't think we should always be walking around smiling because we are all made up of different emotions, at different days we feel different emotions, sad , happy, depress etc. Yet atleast we should try to be pleasant to each other.

I think i need to smile more too but i don't like the artificial commercial smiling that people put on it isn't good.

      Thanks for sharing

      Happy New Year

Oh my goodness....I love this. I always tell people that they should go above and beyond at work. And always SMILE :) If you fill out an application for a job that means you should do your best at it. I don't care if its flipping burgers or handling multi-million dollar deals!
