A new way to earn money at home if you sing

Updated on September 25, 2011

make some extra cash at home

This will be a few parts hub.. This hub will just give you details on how to make money from home and what to do. I will post later on some cool tactics and so forth later.

So you enjoy singing? For me, I love singing and doing karaoke. Well there is a way to sing, have fun, and make some cash depending on how much time you put into it.

step 1: get a decent mic.. headset will work.. but I recommend a shure 58 mic

step 2: do a google search for a program called secondlife. Secondlife is a virtual world that allows you to do a multitude of things and make money doing so. I chose singing because to me its what I can do to make easy money.

step 3: go to youtube. do a search on secondlife tutorials. "Please do not attempt to run secondlife without reviewing the tutorials

step 4: once in the world of secondlife.. goto a lot of the clubs and speak with owners, also hit open mic sessions (a great way to get your name out there)

step 5: Secondlife has their own currency which in turn can be sold to real currency. I personally have that same currency sent straight to my bank

step 6: most club owners will pay for a one hour performance, and people who follow you (fans) will always tip you

I personally make around 200-300 usd per month doing this. This is great for someone like me who would sing for free but hey why not make some extra cash at it.

There are also many ways to generate income on secondlife.. creating things, buying and selling virtual land, photography.. the possibilities are endless.

Later I will share how and what equipment to buy to make singing performances much better and how to find backing tracks.

Hey, SecondLife seems like a cool idea. How long did it take you to start up?How does it work? I'm curious.

I make around 200.00 - 300.00 usd per month.. but it really depends on how much you put into it. I know a singer from Australia, she makes around 950.00 per month but she is also well known in the community and has done it for years.

Making money via SecondLife hadn't come to mind yet. Great idea. Have you made much doing it?
