Updated on October 17, 2010

Introduction to the Best Free DoFollow Backlink Sites

Finding good backlinks is a pretty difficult task, In my experience however I ahve found that the best way to build high quality backlinks to your websites is not to take shortcuts, and instead create a wide variety of quality unique content across the Interenet.

The good news is that there are some fantastic free websites out there which allow you to submit content and build backlinks for free, and most will even let you earn a little bit of extra cash for your work as well!

Using these sites can help boost your work to the top of Google, just remember to keep the quality high, and you will soon build a huge Internet presence which you can effectively monetize.

Why Do I Need DoFollow Backlinks?

While the best way to get dofollow backlinks is to let them accumulate naturally, many of us do not have the steady traffic, or loyal readershp to make that happen. This means that you do need ot find a workaround to rank in Google.

Building your own free do follow backlinks requires a bit of work, but it can pay dividends. However it is important to remember a few things.

  • Don't spam, it's rarely effective, and it can cause you problems
  • Write articles and place your links in them. High quality articles can pass value to your main website.
  • Don't go out there creating thousands of dofollow backlinks and expect to jump to a high PR.
  • Have a little patience build your backlinks over time, and keep an eye out to see if you are getting enough traffic for them to occur organically.

It seems that DevHub is no more an article directory as you have mentioned and is just a free website creator.......

Thanks, this is very useful info for all of us. Nofollow is sometimes good too, simply for manual navigation and site recognition.

Hi, I am working on learning how to create backlinks and increase traffic to my articles. I checked out This is Freelance and it looks like it's another place to write articles, like hubpages (and it looks awesome by the way), but can you post links to hubpage articles there? I'm still really new to all of this.

Hey thanks a lot. That's some good info for a newbie like me. Recently decided to take my passions online. It's a jungle out there. People like yourself that contribute good information are very much appreciated. Please keep doing what you are doing.

Dev Hub have changed how they do things recently. The site helps keep spam down and quality high by rewarding it's writers with 'devhub coins' as well as real cash. These coins can be used to extend your portfolio of sites.

It's actually a pretty good way to keep the spammers at bay.

Dev Hub has blogs, but it also lets you create informational articles, and sales articles in article form. All in all I think they have four different kinds of site which you can build, and each one has different functions, and different interactions.

My best advice would be to give it a go, I earn a few cents on tehre at the moment and I really have put very little effort in to writing there, my main focus still being hubpages and my own sites, but as the income grows there I will probably start to increase my workload there!

I'll look into devhub too. It is not a article directory..more like a jimdo or free blogging site.

I had not heard of DevHub before. Thanks for that. I must admit though I am still confused even after reading through their bumph. It says its free and then says the first site is free. Yeh I'm confused.
