The unemployment rate is high in most states and, unemployment benefits have been extended for some Americans. Millions struggle to make a living. Education, food, health care, housing, transportation and utilities are necessities. Jobs are needed to afford these necessities

If you've fallen into hard times you're not alone, don't think you can't do anything about it. Resources Available

  1. Temporary employment agencies are good to go and apply for work. Don't pass up seasonal, part time or temporary jobs. This type of work provides opportunity for experience and, possible leads to a good full time job.
  2. Mystery Shopping jobs are available from over 300 mystery shopping business's across the U.S. Information about mystery shopping can be found on many mystery shopping websites...
  3. Child Care and babysitting services are in high demand. Working parents need good trustworthy child care and babysitters. Finding good quality services at affordable prices can be difficult. If you are a person who is good with children and enjoys spending quality time with children. Family members or close friends may need your help.
  4. Nursing homes need qualified care givers. Certified Nursing Assistants are in high demand. To earn a C.N.A certificate you will need to take a 6-8 week course. These courses are often offered at community colleges.If interested check to see if there are any programs offering to pay for the course. You might be surprised.
  5. Recycle aluminum if the city has an aluminum recycling plant check the prices per pound for aluminum. Aluminum cans are everywhere. Start recycling them. It's somewhere to start this doesn't mean you'll have to do this forever. At least you'll be doing something.
  6. Offer your services. House cleaning, mechanic, lawn mowing, shovel snow, hauling junk away any kind of odd job or skill you have. Don't wait on the customers to seek you out seek them out! Post your help available on grocery store and laundry mat billboards! .

Set Goals

Try making a plan A that fits your particular situation. If plan A doesn't help resort to plan B. Try using this type of plan.

  • P-pride don't loose your pride. Pride is a motivating factor. If all else fails you will still have your pride. Prepare and be ready for interviews and other opportunities.
  • E-evaluate all resources available. The cup is half full not half empty.
  • R-remember better times the details and skills that helped you get there.
  • F-forget past failures or negative experiences. Focus on the positive.
  • E-exit immediately away from any scam, fraudulent or illegal activity. That's the wrong path.
  • C-communicate effectively advertise your skills and abilities to others. Be confident!
  • T-think things through try not to make snap decisions. Use good judgement. Is this really the best time to surf the internet for ways to earn cash online?

      What a nice set of suggestions.

      I fear, far too many people are just not entrepreneurial enough these days. There are so many things that one can do. "Customers" appreciate initiative, and very often give jobs, even if they don't really need it done, just as an encouragement for the effort to look for work.

      I hope a lot more people who need this kind of "boost" will read it.
