It may seem like a hard task but it is not. It only is if you never created one before. All that you have to do is choose the proper platform to host it. Set everything up according to your preferences. When selecting a platform, it is important to choose one that is customizable, and easy to use. You do not have to pay to install. After setting it up play with the editing and publishing features of it. You could also install third-party plugins for your it. With these plugins there is extra functionality to your blog. A must have plugin for bloggers is Yoast SEO. The name alone tells you the plugin optimizes all of the posts according to a particular keyword. This is how google recognizes your content in search engines. You also have the ability to ad forums, membership sections and online stores to your site. These features require technical expertise and it is costly but it is worth it. They will produce excellent results. Now, If you will like to tell your personal story you want the Squarspace platform. It is far more simple. On this platform you could showcase your portfolio, publish blogs, run your business, and design templates. The platform is highly popular. One of the things that stands out about the platform is the plans. The plans and the prices for it. The extra features stand out as well. You could use them to improve the quality of your site. You have to choose the platform that you want according to your business. Each one is productive but remember that you must set up a blog for your business.
Find Your Niche
This is the step that needs to be taken after you set up the blog. Find out what performs best. If you have a backlog of previously published poss, you could look trough them and do this a lot easier. Looking at what others are doing is also a great method. Just emulate their best performing posts. That is similar to what I do. I figure out what is trending and write about it. The topics will vary but keep in mind that there are specific blogs that guarantee to bring traffic and user engagements.
The first is a Round Up Blog Post. In this post you mention other influencers and experts in a single post. The more they are mentioned the more increase you may see. These posts will help you establish credibility.
Lists Posts could be effective as well. List about topics that interest your audience. This post is very popular because it grabs attention with it's headline. The attention promises to solve a pain point.
Another effective type of post is a How To Post. This post is to be used to educate your audience about a particular problem that they maybe facing.
If you want to give more detailed information you could make an Ultimate Guide Post. These posts are very long. They consists of more than 3000 words. Because of their scale it is best to create this one once or twice a month. With all of them you must be consistent. That is what will bring significant results. A great exercise is starting small. Eventually, you will grow. Find out what to write about.
When doing this remember that you must be thorough. When you are you target the audience that you are supposed to. You need to know the language that they prefer. You need to know the topics they like. You need to know where they spend most of their time online. Once those become clear you target your audience. After that you brainstorm a general topic for your blog post. For example, if you own a business that provides human resource services you may want to write a blog about hiring. The next step will require you to come up with different, creative titles. Titles that catch the minds and eyes of the viewers. You must do it based on the topic so make sure that it is around it. I am just that type of writer. It helps you to focus on your writing. After the title write an introduction for your blog post. To me, this one of the parts that I love. Before I knew of the details I started my blogs wrong. According to research, you must start with a statistic, joke and a personal story. They all must be related to the topic. After doing this be sure that your sentences hold the readers attention. Make sure that your blog is arranged so that the readers could easily navigate. Keep the paragraphs short. Avoid using complicated words and sentence structures. Keep your readers engaged by posting pictures and videos. One of the keys I think that many bloggers miss when starting out is to optimize the blog. I missed that when I first started out. As a matter of fact I missed that many times. That is how I learned to do it right. Now, I not only do these simple things but I post hyperlinks that lead the readers to other pages. I do the same with websites. As a response, my blog posts show up high in the search engines. I also place call to action buttons at the end of my blogs. The last thing that you want to do is edit the blog post. Make sure that it is free of grammatical or spelling mistakes. Follow these steps and you will not go wrong.
