Credit check/Housing In Boston

Updated on April 21, 2015

Housing and Credit Check

After 25 years of being a excellent tenant Madam X, felt that she was is being discriminated by a young landlord who wanted her out. He want her apartment for his to relocate some of his family.

Her Apartment was sold, she never knew about the changes until the new owner told her he wanted her to find another place to live.

Madam x was a disable citizen who had section 8 for a few years, you have three months to find and apartment he smile walking away, she knew her rights and had already signed a new lease. With tears in her eyes she didn't know what to do she told her leasing officer about her problem. Before her lease was up, she was issuer a letter to quit than a eviction from the city.

After filling out numerous-of application she was always denied because of her credit history . She knew her time was running out so she decided to go to housing court. My housing programs pays my rent, my other creditors have nothing to do with how I pay my rent.

This is a growing problem in Boston because in order to live in decent areas, you have to have a good credit history. I would say that this action discriminates the poor from living in safe secure areas.
