Disney College Program - Fall Advantage 2012 #1
Alright, this is my Chapter 1 so to speak, I've been accepted into the Disney College Program for the Fall Advantage Program 2012 (June-January). So basically my idea is to blog my entire experience, maybe updating every month or week, I'm not sure yet. Also thinking about doing a Vlog (That's video-blog for all you non-hipsters).
So I've completed the initial step, I've been confirmed, I go down to Disney World in Orlando on June 11th to start this experience. This should be really fun for me though, because if you ask anybody who knows me, they will tell you that I'm a Disney addict. My family and I go at least once a year, it's like a drug to us almost. So naturally the Disney College Program seems like a good choice for me.
I'm graduating from Limestone College on May 10, so I'm doing the college program after graduation which is the last time during your undergrad that Disney will let you enter the program, I'm not sure how it works if you're trying to do it during graduate school, but I'll try to find that out. I'm graduating with my BA in Theatre, that's right, I'm a thespian. I'm an actor and a writer, it's just been my thing. I'm going down to Disney to work in Rides and Attractions so hopefully I'll get something where I get to perform, like The Jungle Cruise or The Great Movie Ride. I'm also going to look into auditioning for stage shows and if that can happen, we'll see.
So I've learned that I'll be living in the Vista Way Apartments, which from the reasearch I've done, seem to be the cheapest ones, so that's awesome because that means less Room and Board money will come out of my paycheck. So a little info for all of you on how this program works. You go down, you work, and you take courses. Now I'm not sure about the specifics just yet, that's for another blog down the road.
So continue to check my blog for updates as I will be updating you throughout my entire experience in the Walt Disney World College Program. I've heard pretty much nothing but good reviews of the program, so hear's hoping for the best!
Till Next Time,
