Do Woodchucks Chuck Wood? (Commercials!)

Updated on November 12, 2010

When cable is available wherever I'm at, I tend to have the TV on in the background while I'm spelunking the internet.  In general, most TV is trash anymore and you have to go to "classic" channels to actually see worthwhile programming.  But one of the things I find most entertaining these days are commercials.  Some of my all-time faves of recent years...

GEICO
Can switching to GEICO really save you money on your car insurance?  Do woodchucks chuck wood?  This one makes me laugh every time.  Hey, you dang woodchucks!  Quit chucking my wood!

ETRADE
The eTrade baby ROCKS.  And Lindsay Lohan is a money-grubbing skank for being SO self-centered as to think they meant her nasty butt when they used the name "Lindsay" for one of their babies.  I hope they have more class than that.  Anyway, go baby, GO!

ALL STATE
Protect yourself from mayhem like me...woot!  The pink SUV commercial is the best one they've got.  My BFF Becky just sent me a text that says she kissed Johnny.  That's a problem...'cause, I like Johnny.  Now I'm all emotionally compromised and - whoopsie!  *crash* And I'm all...OMG, Becky's not even HOT.  It's great.  :)

Best Commercial of All Time (In My Opinion)
The Budweiser commercial where the little donkey wants to be a Budweiser Clydesdale.

Second Best of All Time
The beer (?) commercial where the horses are running back and forth in a field and two cowboys are sitting on the fence watching.  The horses kick a football and one cowboy says, "They always do that?"  The other cowboy says, "Nope...they usually go for two."  (It was a Superbowl ad many years ago.)

It's sad when commercials are more entertaining than the programming.

The woodchuck commercial cracks me up every time also :).my favorite Budweiser commercial is the one where the clydesdale is jealous of the dog fetching the stick so to impress his owner and in an effort to get attention the horse goes and fetches a huge tree branch.
