E-Commerce Tools

Digital storefronts take your existing website and turn it into a full featured online store. With the added plus of not needing programming skills, for about $50 a month, you can have a product search feature, an inventory tracker, sales and inventory reports, and an online manager, among others features. For a small additional charge, Digital Shopping Carts keep track of orders, sales, inventory, vendor details and make payment processing safe and secure. If you are going to have an online store, accepting credit cards is mandatory. No one wants to buy from a website that makes payment difficult and confusing. Ideally, you should provide your customers with a secure, easy way to purchase products or services from your website and credit card processing is much easier with digital shopping cart software.

Services

Other services that your internet business may benefit from are, internet merchant accounts, partner programs, and banner programs. An internet merchant account is a financial relationship between you and a credit card processor which allows money to be deposited into your bank account. A service account will give you everything you need to accept credit cards, for a percentage and a fee. There may or may not be a set up fee, depending on the company you choose.

Partner programs and banner programs are two more services that can help your web-based business succeed. Partner programs give you the support and feel of a larger company which may benefit you by attracting more customers. Additionally, it can provide support with some of the inherent problems that come up when running an internet business. Banner programs help you with advertising through banner and button creation, and banner exchange programs.

E-commerce service companies have many ways to support a new or existing internet business, it is up to you to decide which ones you will need.
