  • E-Commerce & How to Make Money Online, Rival To Ebay? Can You Make Money Selling On Ebid?

Updated on November 22, 2016

Do you like to clear out your closets and sell the resulting junk/goodies/gems via online sites like Ebay and Amazon? Perhaps you are a professional seller looking to actually make a living from online sales, rather than a little extra pin money? Either way, if you’re like a lot of sellers you may have been experiencing some dissatisfaction with the likes of Ebay in recent times, due to the expense of selling there and other discontents expressed by sellers. Are you looking for another venue on which to list your clutter or your stock, maybe one of the alternative sites such as Etsy?? Maybe is the answer for you.

Buy And Sell At The Ebid Market!

Creative Commons Licence Attribution-ShareAlike 2.0 Generic (CC BY-SA 2.0) | Source is a UK based auction and fixed price online selling venue, for both small private and business sellers. Like any sales or auction site, it has its proponents, and on the other hand it has its detractors. Who's right?

What are the attractions of the site? What would induce you to list on Well, it’s potentially a low-cost low-risk selling venue, depending on the options you choose. If you join as a seller, rather than a buyer, then you can list for free (provided you’re careful about what bells and whistles type options you choose, and bearing that this type of listing doesn’t provide a ‘thumbnail’ photo in results, although you can get one for a small listing fee). The FVF for standard sellers is quite reasonable at 3%.

Alternatively if you spring for a Seller+ Lifetime membership, then if you make a basic listing without bells and whistle (such as Featured listing) or thumbnail photo, then not only do you pay no listing fee but no final value fee either! (If you want a thumbnail, then you’ll be shelling out for a reduced 2% final value fee. I think I can manage it!)

But what does Seller+ Lifetime membership cost? Up until recently, the one-off fee that allowed you to list in this way for, guess what, life, was £49.99. Then there was a recent price rise to £74.99, an admittedly hefty 50% price hike. (Although still a bargain in my eyes.)

But guess what? Today – for one day only, 25th April 2010 – you can get Seller+ Lifetime membership on for just £14.99! Rockin’ or what? So don’t delay if you’re looking for a low-fees alternative to Ebay – come and sign up at Ebid for a rock-bottom bargain price!
