Updated on July 20, 2017

Getting traffic to your work is hard, although it is easier then it use to be. Social media has come along and given us ways to reach others. When we take the time to write and put an article together we hope it gets read, sometimes we have to help it get found first.

The best thing about social media is that your post can go viral and get you thousands of views, when this happens it makes you feel good and you start trying to do it again.

Social Media

Social media came along and we discovered it can be a great way to establish traffic. Our stuff can be seen be many people and directed to it, so naturally our readership will increase. Now if you are lucky enough to have it go viral you could have thousands of views in minutes.

The better sites to use have a higher virality, this is the degree or likely hood that users will share and re-share posts. Different sites will share differently, some will share information and other will share pictures, it appears the ones that are interactive get the most views. Some share videos or a combination of all three.

When something you post goes viral you can get thousands of views in a matter of minutes. This is when social media is at its best.

Pinterest is a leading site for exchanging pictures, you attach the link to your site or articles and you have an instant advertising campaign. This site gets plenty of visitors that can be funneled back to your site with catchy pictures or phrases.

Take your pictures and use them to get traffic, use images that relate to your site when possible for SEO purposes.

The site Tsu allows you to post, make friends, and get viewers. What is different is that you can make pennies from your posting that can add up. This is an invite only site and my link is an invitation for you to check.Tsu out.

I get a good amount of traffic from this site if I post things that are interesting or curious to people, Make them curious and they will want to know what you are all about.

Facebook is a site like no other, it has an incredible user base and can generate views easily. Advertise on this site and you will make money. There are so many people on there and it is easy to get traffic with a good page. You can also just place good content and get viewers with a ad campaign.

This site has a high viral level as to getting re-posted and shared, many people with many friends equals traffic opportunities. Interest them into viewing your site and they will come.

Interest Them And They Will Come !

Twitter is a site where you submit a short snippet of information or ad, when you do this itis called a tweet.

Twitter reaches many people and if you use this and build a base of people you will get traffic, when you post it is called tweeting. This can be done quick and easy, but what you tweet has to be catchy and interesting to pull traffic to your site. I use it because I like getting My name out there, when your site name is heard of in different places and shows activity people will check it out of curiosity.

Other Sites

There are plenty of sites that you can use to make money, social media is designed to make money off of. There are other sites like Instagram and You tube that produce high results also, I have no experience with them yet so I am only write on my personal experience.

Thanks for the tips. I use Pinterest sometimes, but never got a lot of views from it. I tried Stumbleupon when I first began writing online about 5 years ago, but found it to be too "slick" for my taste. I thought it was a waste of time. I haven't heard of all you mentioned here though, thanks for the ideas. I am moving a lot of my writing from other sites back to HP, as many didn't make a cent for me, and HP eventually does. I have a blog, but it's boring me and I want to change it to something different. I write metaphysical things.
