Apple hires employees to work in different customer service positions, including team manager, advisor, and area manager. You may also be communicating with customers through chat as well as on the phone. Pay varies depending on the type of position you're applying for, your recruiter will discuss pay with you once you're offered the job. Benefits include 401k and medical insurance, as well as possible discounts on Apple products. Apple does hire people to work both part-time and full-time, and schedules may vary depending on Apple's needs - you may have to do some weekend work. Requirements for this position include a high school diploma or GED, a typing speed of at least 30 wpm, but 45 wpm is preferred, a working knowledge of using Windows-based personal computers (Macs are not allowed for this position), a knowledge of how to use Microsoft Office products, excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, the ability to use basic math functions to calculate discounts, sales tax, proportions, percentages, and reductions, and be able to type and/or manipulate computer screens while also carrying on a phone conversation. Kelly Services hires employees to work temporary positions from home. The type of phone work varies depending on the company, and the pay rate also varies, but it's usually in the $10-$12 an hour range. They hire for many different positions, including customer service, administrative, and even gaming advisor positions. Required skills include some customer service experience, PC and Windows experience, excellent written and oral communication skills, motivation, discipline and determination, and the ability to create an exceptional customer service experience for callers. You also need to be able to keep information confidential, have good computer skills, excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, be able to work as part of team, be able to prioritize and and organize work, and able to work in an environment that requires simultaneous listening, interpreting, typing, and computer use.
