Fun Way of Earning Money Online- Review of Fiverr

Updated on May 8, 2012

I am constantly looking for fun and easy ways to make a little extra money online. I have used several different methods online, and have stumbled upon a site that I now love so much that I use it daily. The site is fiverr.com. If you have never heard of or used the site, continue reading to see if this might be a great opportunity for you to earn some extra money as well.

What is Fiverr.com?

Fiverr is a website designed to help people sell their talents and skills. It is a place where you can share what you are willing to do for $5. You simply create your "gig", and wait for customers to order your services. You can also find many great services to buy on the site for, you guessed it, $5.

What kind of Gigs can you Create?

The choices on what service or talent you want to sell is up to you, and the possibilities are endless. There are several categories on the site including gifts, graphics, video, social marketing, travel, writing, advertising, music& audio, fun & bizarre, tips and advice, business, technology, programming, and other. Chances are if there is something you are willing to do for $5, then there is a place for it on Fiverr. Of course they do have some rules, so you will need to keep everything appropriate. Are you an artist? Then you can sell portraits. Are you an expert on something? Then you can sell your advice. Are you a great promoter? Then you can sell your work for promoting someone's online articles or blogs. Below are a few examples of Gigs already on the site. As you will see there are many different types of services people are already selling (and making money from!)

- There are many people on the site willing to translate documents for you or even help you learn a new language.

- There are many people willing to draw caricatures for you.

- There are many people willing to help you promote your blog, website, or article.

- There are many people willing to dress up in silly costumes (I have seen gorilla suits, banana suits and much more) and sing or dance anything you want them to in a video.

- There are many people wiling to design logos for your business

- And much, much more!

You will find both serious and silly gigs on the site, but it is easy to navigate the site to find exactly what you are looking for.

My personal Fiverr review

I have only been a member of the site for a few months, but have already had several customers, which have earned me a good bit. I love Fiverr. It is an awesome way to sell my services and talents. It is amazing what people are wiling to do for $5, but it is even more amazing once you realize what people will pay $5 for. My only complaint about the site so far, is that they do take a commission out of your payments. They make $1 for every sale you make, but I guess the site has to make their own money somehow. Most of the people you find on the site are genuine and nice. They do have a nice rating system set up, so that you can see what other's experiences are with a seller before you buy their products. I have a 100% rating so far, because I always try to provide my customers with the best services. If you have the same quality commitment, then you should have no problem making some extra spending money on the site. If you work a little with promoting your Gig on social networking sites and in other similar ways then you can earn even more. I definitely recommend Fiverr to anyone. It is easy to use, and even fun.

Fiverr pays you through Paypal which is another feature that I love, because I hate waiting on checks to arrive from other sites that pay. It can take forever. I have received several payments from Fiverr in a timely manner, and can vouch for the fact that the site is legit.
