Let's get down to it. The bible is a great source if you want to prosper and be successful in your business and attract more finances. Don't believe me? Here are some principals of success straight from the holy book.

First of all you need to recognise that all things come from God. All blessings and riches come from God. James 1:17 "whatever is good and perfect comes to us from God above who created all heaven's lights. Unlike them he never changes or casts shifting shadows." Psalms 50:12 "If i were hungry i would not mention it to you for all the world is mine and everything in it"

The problem with most people including christians is that they think that they are the source of their wealth. This is why people get depressed when bills pile up, when the salary is not enough, when business is not doing well. The honest truth is that "our way" in most cases does not work and if it does it is only a matter of time before everything comes tumbling down. Look at what the world has gone through in terms of economic cisis and financial depression. Doing it our way has led to countries going to war with each other in order to control, manage and protect various interests. Leaders are willing to sacrifice anything including the lives of their own people in order to hold on to their wealth and power..

Imagine how good the world would be if people decided to regard God as their source. We would rarely hear about things like theft and corruption. Terms like upper class, middle class and lower class would not exist.

When you release this burden to God and submit everything to his authority, everything begins to fall into place. You not only begin to experience increase but there is a peace that comes even when you are in the eye of the storm.

Proverbs 21:20 "The wise have wealth and luxury but fools spend whatever they get." I cannot get any more direct than that. Saving is important not just for a rainy day, but also to grow especially in business.

Proverbs 6:6-8 "Go to the ant, o sluggard, consider her ways and be wise. Without having any chief, officer or ruler, she prepares her bread in summer and gathers her food in harvest." There can be no financial growth without saving. Saving is preparing for the future and it limits the need to borrow and go into debt.

It does not matter how much you save in a day. Put money aside and pretty soon you will see money working for you.

Isn't debt the worst? Every person who has ever had debts will tell you how much trouble one can get into. Well the bible doesn't encourage debt either. Psalms 37:21 says " the wicked borrow and never repay but the godly are generous givers." Proverbs 22:7 "Just as the rich rule the poor, so the borrower is servant to the lender." I know many will argue here and say that sometimes you have to borrow in order to put up a business or pay bills. But think about it for a second. Why go into debt when you serve a God who will give you everything if you just ask.

One way to stay out of debt is to be contented and appreciate what you have. People may not know this but even science has supported the theory of the law of attraction. You get more of what you constantly think about. Hebrews 13:5 "Don't love money, be satisfied with what you have For God has said 'i will never fail you, i will never abandon you.' Being grateful will always lead to more blessings.

How else will you know how well a business is doing if you do not have a record of its daily operations? Record keeping can help you make wise financial investments as well as keep track of your spending. The bible says we need to watch our financial interests keenly. Proverbs 27:23 "Know the state of your flocks and put your heart into caring for your herds for riches don't last forever....." You need to know where your money is going because not doing so leads to disaster. Keep an honest record of every financial transaction in your business.

Obviously there can never be success without working for it. Proverbs 14:23 "Works brings profit but mere talk leads to poverty." Working means doing something and giving it your best and trusting in God to bless your work. The result will always be fruitfulness and increase.

When Jesus met Peter in the sea of Galilee they had just come from fishing but had not caught anything. Jesus however instructed them to go back into the sea and cast their nets. Simon Peter said that they worked throughout the night and caught nothing but he would do as Jesus had instructed. They cast their nets again and this time they caught so much fish it even began tearing up their nets. Jesus found Peter as he was working. He was not sleeping or lazing around. Even though he worked that entire night and caught nothing, God would not allow him to come back empty handed.

Work and you will never go back with nothing. Laziness will however only lead to poverty hence the verse "he who does not work will not eat."

Most people get themselves in sticky situations when the become signatories for someone. Proverbs 27:13 "Get security from someone who guarantees a stranger's debts. Get a deposit if he does it for foreigners." Guaranting another person's debt can be a great burden if the debtor refuses to pay.

We have seen numerous times how powerful prayer is. Prayer is the key for success in every aspect of our lives. Jesus said "Keep knocking and the door will be opened, keep seeking and you will find."

Meditating in God's word leads to revelation. This revelation gives you wisdom which is a tool that opens many doors. " A wise man builts his house on a solid foundation while the foolish one builts his house on sand."

Seek Godly counsel as it is written in Psalms 1:1 "Oh the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners or join with mockers. But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night."

Jeremiah 29:11 "For i know the plans i have for you' says the Lord. 'They are plans for good and not a disaster, to give you a future and a hope."

God want you to have a great future. He wants you to trust in him and let him guide you always. You have tried it your way for a long time and it hasn't gotten you far. Let me challenge you after reading this article, give God a chance. Read and meditate the verses i've mentioned everyday. Believe in God's word, follow the instructions and you will begin to see a difference in your financial situation.

I leave with this blessing from Hebrews 13:20

"Now may God of peace

who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus,

the great shepherd from the sheep,

and ratified an eternal covenant with his blood,

may he equip you with all you need,

for doing his will,

May he produce in you,

through the power of Jesus Christ,

every good thing that is pleasing to him.

All Glory to him forever and ever. Amen.
