Ghanshyam Sarda Looks to Keep Kolkata Clean
Clean City Drive Undertaken in Kolkata
Kolkata is the largest metropolis from Eastern India. The city has a rich heritage and culture to its credit. Over the years, the city has gained a considerable amount of pollution which needs to be curbed at the earliest. In order to reduce the pollution menace, the Clean City Dream City campaign has been planned, which will take Kolkata a long way forward. The Lions Club International is one of the reputed clubs from the city and the entire program will transform the entire image related to it.
As one of the leading industrial entities from the city of Kolkata, Ghanshyam Sarda has taken a variety of initiatives and always wants to be a part of social and cultural programs. Currently, the Lions Club International has an overall collection of 60 clubs and thousands of members who are already a part of this major campaign.
As the campaign has begun at the different parts of the city, the response is quite good. Everyone wants to stay in a fair and clean city which is environmental friendly. If we take an extensive look at the city of Kolkata, garbage should be cleaned on a regular basis over here. In the city of Kolkata itself, tonnes of garbage are produced on a regular basis which needs to be disposed off somewhere.
Normally, this garbage is dumped at the Dhapa ground which is located near the Eastern Metropolitan Bypass. The city of Kolkata needs to be kept clean at the earliest and each of the clubs working under the Lions Club International program are working with each ward in this regard. Trash bins will be put in each of the wards which will keep the localities clean in every way. Generally, we find that the localities which are quite unclean do not have the trash bins in place.
As far as the image of Kolkata to the outside world is concerned, it certainly needs a facelift with this clean city campaign in place. As a part of the next phase of the campaign which is about to commence, it will emphasize on the recycling part.
The recycling part will be involving bio degradable waste. As one of the best social and environmental initiatives taken in the city, the clean city campaign has also started its work on the digital platform. There have been constant updates on the social media sites which makes the entire project even more interesting. The members from the Ghanshyam Sarda Kolkata group supports the project in every way.
