Why Google Loves YouTube More Than Ezine Articles?

Updated on July 28, 2010

Video Marketing -v- Article Marketing

I’m sure you already know that Google is classed as the #1 search engine and dominates the Internet with millions of visitors browsing and searching every day. For those of you who have websites and online businesses, the number one priority is to receive sufficient targeted visitors to your websites so that you can make money; and the search engine to provide those visitors is Google.

Although driving traffic to your website is essential if you want your website to be recognized and make money online there is another significantly important aim you should strive for, and that is to get a high ranking on Google, to appear at least on the first three pages for the keywords your online business is marketing. NB: This is a difficult feat to achieve!

Now the question is how can you drive hordes of targeted traffic to your website and get a high rank on Google #1 search engine? The answer lies in article and video marketing. As you may know Article Marketing is one of the best ways to generate targeted traffic and backlinks to your website, but there is a more powerful tool that can be used to generate even greater traffic figures. It’s called Video Marketing.

Why Video Marketing is more powerful than Article Marketing is because videos get indexed far quicker than articles. This is because Google loves YouTube and watching videos probably more than you do! In fact they index YouTube videos in 15 minutes whilst indexing an ezine article can take days. So, can you see the power of creating and marketing a video?

You will find that one of the benefits of submitting a video to YouTube is that the search result appears different. You can easily recognize a video result on Google because it appears with a picture on the left and looks very similar to the paid advertising, but the bonus is that it is Free!

For example: a popular search that is made by people who want to set up a business on eBay is “things people sell to make money on eBay” try this search on Google.

Can you see the video result ranked at #1 has a picture on the left?

Don't you think People are more likely to CLICK that link, WATCH the video and VISIT the owner's website? of course they are. In fact I am sure they would prefer to watch a video than read through pages of pdf text.

Now that is powerful isn’t? Nothing can beat video marketing.

Imagine if you could turn your articles into such videos? It could boost your online presence and help your website to make money.

Research has shown that people prefer watching and hearing videos than reading a bunch of text. That means your videos will have a much greater impact to your bank account and much more profit.

I suppose you’re asking, if video marketing is so powerful why don't more and more people use it? The main reason is expense. Video Marketing has always been expensive and difficult, making it a little out of reach for the average guy.

But there have been improvements made in the world of technology and new forms of software have emerged that can convert your articles into LIVE and TALKING videos at less cost that before and they can be converted in minutes.

This is an opportunity that any netpreneur should not miss.

If you want to make money online then this is a powerful method you should use to drive targeted traffic to your website, obtain suitable backlinks, and create a presence on Google with the end result that you make money.

Webcopywizard thanks for commenting. You make a very valid remark when you refer to how to optimise your video. A possible niche for an SEO expert!

Great hub. Very true - the majority of search engine content has to be text-based, semantically structured information because of the Google algorithms code information. However, the simple fact is that optimised video is the shortcut to the first pages of a search engine at the moment purely because indexed video assets are still relatively rare...the question then remains - how to optimise your video - and the true SEO 'experts' in that arena are sparse.
