HOW TO MAKES GOAL SETTING EFFECTIVE AND SUCCESSFUL

Most of us already know that it is very important to set goal in every thing that we tend to do or achieve in life. Having said that, what is goal setting? If you have not known by now, goal setting is the art of projecting a future desire target for your business, academic, and for every area of your life. In fact, people all over the world set goals one way or the other for themselves consciously or unconsciously. However, the focus here is the people that set goals for themselves consciously and they actually want to achieve their set goal. And I must strongly recommend here that, it is very better and handy for you to set goals for anything that you want to do if you really want to achieve greatness. Goal setting bring about effectiveness and efficiency into your business and life as a whole.

Now is it enough to set goals and go to sleep, for thing to work out themselves? The answer is capital NO, so what do you do to optimize the art of goal setting in life.

HERE ARE SEVEN TIPS TO MAKE YOUR GOAL SETTING EFFECTIVE AND SUCCESSFUL:

COMMITMENT: you must be committed to your set goal. How do you do just that? Most of us already know that it is very important to write your goals down.

The simple act of writing makes your goal visible and tangible. That’s no longer just a thought!

But it’s not enough to write your goal down, you have to describe it in complete detail! Make it as specific as possible, to invoke commitment from you concerning the goal.

For instance, if you write down as a goal, “I want good money” is not a goal yet. This can still be regarded as just a wish. Why? There is nothing to invoke commitment to this goal. But if you put it in a writing as a goal that, “I want $30,000 in three months time precisely by 30th of June 2010”

Now this can be regarded as a goal set to invoke commitment to it.

After writing your goal down in complete details don’t forget to make it

visible!

You can write it on where you can easily see it every day. Try to surround yourself with little reminders. This will help you to stay focused on your goal and create a clear mental image of what you want.

The Benefits: The question is, what are my benefits of achieving this goal that I have set? If you answer this question very clearly is the beginning of your success. But failure to answer that question will result in lack of motivation and failure to follow the plan.

Take a piece of paper and answer this question IN WRITING:

WHY do you want to achieve your goal?

No, not just because “I want”. There are reasons behind

your dreams, usually dozens of them.

And if you realize why you want to reach your goal, you’ll be

most likely to follow your plan till the end.

For instance, why would you want to make $30,000 by 30th of June 2010?
