Having to work two jobs
It seems to be that now and days we can't make it with only one job whether it is full time or part time. I don't know if you have noticed, but taxes keep on going higher and health insurance is going up. Just when you think you can make it with only one job, you get hit with all these taxes going up and your utilities go up; before you know it, you have to make ends meet by having to look for another job.
I have a full time job and it is good pay, however, once the taxes went up and the health insurance went up, I noticed that with all the bills and rent that I have to pay, that check every two weeks wouldn't last long especially in our economy right now. I used to work two jobs but I decided to leave that one part time job because at first the check I was getting seemed to be enough, however, times have changed.
Before one could really only survive with only one person really working in the family. You were able to depend on their check, but it seems that now both spouses or partners are having to work to be able to take care of their bills. It isn't easy to live check by check, because we all need groceries and we have to pay to fill up our car with gas and then combine that with all the bills that come in the mail or electronically, that one check can go really fast.
Working two jobs can sometimes really affect a person, especially if they are jobs that require you to work long hours. Your body has a way to telling you when you have worked really hard and reminding you when you need to rest. But sometimes it is necessary even though we know that our bodies can get tired.
If only we can go back to when one job helped us with our bills, but times have changed and every year or few years, we all know prices will go up, taxes will go up. Whether we work one job or two jobs, I think that just having a place to work is good because at least there is a check every two weeks and we are getting money somehow.
