Well, Affiliate marketing is program for affiliates to make money online(commission) by selling products. As per Wikipedia definition of affiliate marketing," Affiliate marketing is a type of performance-based marketing in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought by the affiliate's own marketing efforts. The industry has four core players: the merchant (also known as 'retailer' or 'brand'), the network (that contains offers for the affiliate to choose from and also takes care of the payments), the publisher (also known as 'the affiliate'), and the customer."

As per general definition and simple explanation about Affiliate marketing is, when you promote any product using your affiliate link on your blog or article anywhere on the internet, you would get nothing. When any visitor/user go through that link and make purchase of your recommended product, you would earn commission from the product you have promoted.
