3 Ways Social Media Professionals Are Making Money

Updated on April 24, 2012

Social Media Gurus Get Paid For Their Expertise

In the hot market and phenomenon called social media, I recently discoverer and started making money on - This website pays people to write social media articles and I started making some great money already.

While I will continue to write about all sorts of topics on HubPages including hubs about entertainment, music, recipes, nutrition, and other topics that I love to write about, all my social media articles will be written on Social Skyline.

On Social Skyline, they pay one dollar ($1 US) for every article that I write that they decide to feature and it seems that people are making some great money fast since social media is so hot. The moderators at Social Skyline review every article that is written from their members and if they feature them, pay the author a dollar. I never made that much as soon as I joined any website, so Social Skyline is already competitive with websites like TextBroker (which pays practically nothing for any writer under level 4) and Squidoo. I joined Text Broker and was disappointed with how they treated me as a writer, because I think I am worthy of being a level 4 writer, but they kept me at level 3 and all the good writing jobs are at level 4. However Social Skyline paid me as much as level 4 writers get paid on Text Broker and I do not have to worry about getting to a certain level. If the moderators like my article, they simply feature me and pay me. All I have to write about at a minimum is 250 words minimum.

Apparently, in June, Social Skyline will be adding Google Adsense for authors.

My Earnings In Several Months

Tips For Getting Paid $1 US for Every Written Article That Gets Featured:

It seems that Social Skyline is looking for quality articles from social media gurus and the pressure is so much easier on that website. If an author's article is featured, it shows up on the slider on the home page as well as on the Featured Posts section. In their guidelines, they say that they can remove an article as a featured article at any time, but as soon as an author's article is featured, that article gets $1 US added to their account and they pay out every month as long as writers reach a minimum of $10.00.

Getting Paid A Second Way To Answer The Featured Question; (Effective As Of April 20, 2012)

Another way that Social Skyline pays its members is when they answer the featured question. As long as the moderators approve the article to be included, authors can receive anywhere from 10 cents to 25 cents and since the featured question gets changed often, we can make a lot of money on that website as long as our articles are selected by their moderators.

Social Skyline Should Be Familiar to Bloggers Who Use Wordpress

To make it easier for people to write articles, Social Skyline uses Wordpress since millions of people are familiar with Wordpress, which I think is a great idea. This makes it easier for Social Skyline authors to adapt quickly to Social Skyline's interface. Writers have the sole control to add their articles to several categories.

Those people familiar with Wordpress will be happy to know that Social Skyline Also Uses Wordpress For Its Interface

I have a Wordpress blog, so I know Wordpress really well. I was happy to see that Social Skyline also uses Wordpress, so it is easy for me to post articles and probably millions of other people as well.
