1. Using Other Social Media Accounts

One of the fastest and easiest ways to getting snapchat followers is by using your other social media accounts. As an example, if you have a facebook account with a lot of friends, you can make a status update telling people to follow you, the same thing can be done with other social media accounts such as instagram or twitter, but on social media sites like instagram and twitter you can put it in your bio or tweet a photo with your snapchat qr code (Example on the right).

2. Snapchat Forums

If you don't have that many friends or followers on social media already there are definetely other ways to get snapchat followers. One of these ways is to post on snapchat forums, though most of them are dedicated snapchat sexting, this however means that they are great if you have an adult themed snapchat. If you don't have an adult snapchat you can find forums related to your snapchat niche, so if you have a snapchat where you are posting car pictures you can simply find a car forum and make a relevant post there promoting your snapchat.

3. Reddit

The third way to promote your snapchat is through reddit on the snapchat subreddit, simply make a reddit account (it's free) and make a legitimate post, you can find the subreddit here

4. Addmesnaps

The last way is to simply go to and write your snapchat username, enter your age and gender then press the 'add me' button (No signup required). This is perhaps the easiest method but it won't give you that many followers, I have personally only gotten a few hundred followers from this website in the last few weeks while the other methods can get you several thousands.

5. Shoutouts

The fourth way to promote your snapchat is to have someone give you a shoutout, this is something that you can either pay for, or maybe trade shoutouts (shoutout for shoutout) with a person. You can buy shoutouts from people on Fiverr or SEOClerks, these are just examples and there are probably tons of other sites you can use to get shoutouts, just look around a bit on google. This is by far the method that has worked best for me, and it is something that I can highly recommend, especially if you just created your snapchat account, just be careful since you don't want to be promoted by a snapchat user whose followers are interested in something that you never snap about.

All in all, a mix of these five methods should get you several thousand followers a week if used correctly. Having a lot of snapchat followers can help you promote your products, or just make you feel popular or even help you spread the word about something. But don't stop at these five methods, be innovative and try to find even more ways to get followers.
