How To Motivate Your Sales Team or Employees - Motivating A Sales Team
Motivate Your Sales Team To Greatness
Have you ever wondered why other people make the money and excel in business and you with your business degree and sales training can not? That is the question many have been asking for years even after investing time and money on extensive training.
The methods used to motivate your team has long been in need of some upgrading, what good is a motivated army with no skills to attain what is requested of them. So what they have been top agents; but at what cost. How many prospect have they burned bridges with before that win?
"If ignorant both of your enemy and yourself, you are certain to be in peril."
Sun Tzu
Using the old methods of selling have gotten businesses as far as they can go. Businesses with great products and services are tanking badly and no matter how much motivation the sales team is getting the number steadily goes down. I know this sounds familiar especially, if you consider yourself a great motivator, or savvy business owner.
I have been in sales for years and have been district leader for an insurance company, so I know all about the training and sales tactics. But guess what? I have always known something was missing. I didn't know what it was until recently; but when I found out, things changed and things can change for you as well.
Mimicking your prospect and aggressively pursuing them to give us their business is wrong and so are a lot of old school tactics. Mentors have told us the more no's we get the closer to the yes's. We did ineffective follow ups while not properly trained giving our prospects further buyers remorse and less faith in us. There goes that referral.
The missing part of the sales puzzle was the "art and science of persuasion". I have read many books on sales and have been to many classes and what has always been mentioned but not taught was how to persuade.
"For to win one hundred victories in one hundred battles is not the acme of skill. To subdue the enemy without fighting is the acme of skill."
Sun Tzu
You Can Motivate Your Sales Team When You Know What Is Missing
I began to read and study everything I could get my hands on. The material jumped out at me the same way your dream car or perfect sunrise would appeal to you. I knew I was on the right track and my entire unanswered question began to make since the way it will make since to you and your sales team.
This journey lead me to a perfect book called "Persuasion IQ by Kurt Mortensen" and” Succeed and Grow Rich with Persuasion by Napoleon Hill" and it turns out that this belief is what Donald Trump highly recommends.
If you are in charge of sales or a sales team you know that they are the blame when the numbers go down or penalized or worse as a consequence. These people have not been properly trained and no matter the threats they can't do what they have not been taught to do; properly pursued and negotiate.
3 Steps to Motivating Your Team
"Regard your soldiers as your children, and they will follow you into the deepest valleys; look on them as your own beloved sons, and they will stand by you even unto death."
Sun Tzu
I want to say that any salesperson, sales leader or manager that is not armed with the knowledge of persuasion does not have what it take to effectively grow a business or motivate a sale team.
- Use your learned tactics to motivate your team as the great Sun Tzu did his army which iconic strategies that won wars.
- Motivate with effective persuasion. It is imperative for you to master the art of persuasion to gain the respect and support of your sales force.
- Teach your sales team to learn this same art and science of persuasion to excel and conquer like never before. Improve your bottom line by improving your sales team.
Arm them with the knowledge of Persuasive sales tactics to:
- Sales Improved
- Meet/Excel Goals
- Grow/Save Business
Hopefully you will see how valuable attaining this knowledge is for your future and the future of your business. Now, there is no stopping you from breaking right through your glass ceiling and living the dream you imagined. I know these sounds too good to be true and it is; especially if you don't invest the time in learning the art and science of persuasion for yourself.
It seems that many have discovered this secret many years ago, but I am happy to finally ready to get on board and excel. It is my deepest hopes that I have helped others reach their goals and break through the glass ceiling that was holding them back.
