If you can dream it, you can achieve it.

Dreams — Thousands of articles have been written on this subject. We all experience dreams when we sleep.

Doctors and psychologists have decoded dreams and made research about dreams. Hundreds of thousands of man-hours have been invested in this subject.

None of us are strangers to this subject.

Sometimes we have been admonished to stop daydreaming. We were told that daydreaming is for lazy people.

Many of us have heard about the famous speech called “ I have a dream” by Martin Luther King Junior. It has revolutionized many lives and even today is one of the most quoted speeches in history.

Dreams are very powerful things. They're one of the most valuable assets that we want and we need to protect them.

We need to learn how to tap into the power of our dreams. What if I told you that your dreams can motivate you, inspire you, shape your life and make you a success in life?

I want to share with you today in this article about the power of your dreams.

A dream can be defined as something deep inside the human soul. Our vision, passion or what we want the most in life.

In other words, it’s everything that we exist for.

It uses all our gifts, skills and talents so that we can achieve them.

Our dreams have a sense of destiny and they are absolutely related to our life goals or life purposes.

Given below are 7 ways that dreams help us in the fulfillment of your life purpose.

1. Dreams Give Us An Idea About Our Destiny

Dreams speak about something that we hold closest to our hearts. And what we hold close to our hearts signifies whatever our destiny in life is going to be.

Although we could be doing hundreds of things in this world, there are a few things that really matter to us. Those few things comprise our dreams.

2. Dreams Help Us To Know Which Path To Choose

What a compass means to the captain of a ship, dreams mean to every individual.

Dreams are like a compass which helps us to take the right direction in our lives.

Do you know any successful person who has achieved success without knowing what he or she wanted in life? No definitely not?

Unless we all know which direction we want to move into to achieve success in our lives, all our activities would be unproductive.

Dreams tell us the direction we should travel in.

Dreams help us to take up those opportunities that are going to make us successful.

Dreams act like an experienced tour guide to guide us on the right path so that we could learn and succeed.

3. Dreams Help Us To Make The Right Choices And Prioritize

James Maxwell states in his book “Your road map for success” that “A dream gives us hope for the future, and it also brings us power in the present. It makes it possible for us to prioritize everything we do. A person who has a dream knows what is willing to give up in order to go up. He is able to measure everything it does according to whether or not It contributes to the dream, concentrating his attention on the things that bring him closer to it and giving less attention to everything that doesn’t”

4. Dreams Help Us To Use Our Resources Optimally

Resources that we could have squandered, can now be used in the best possible way because we are aware of our end goal.

Dreams help you to optimize all your available resources to the maximum.

5. Dreams Help Us To Stay On Course

They prevent us from unwanted activities and fruitless endeavors.

In this way, we can use our resources to the maximum.

This ensures minimum wastage and maximum usage of all available resources.

6. Dreams Give Meaning And Purpose To Life

Dreams help people to know what is the purpose of life. When people know what is their purpose in life, it gives meaning to their life. W

people don’t know the reason for their existence, they wander about aimlessly.

Dreams bring purpose and meaning to life. People come to know what they are supposed to be doing with their life.

Thus, dreams are very important as they are related to a person’s destiny in life.

7. Dreams Give Hope To People

One thing that keeps human beings positive in spite of setbacks and tremendous difficulties is hope.

Hope is one of the most powerful forces in life.

Dreams give hope to the dreamer.

The wonderful thing is that it doesn’t cost anything to dream. It’s absolutely free for anyone to dream whatever they want to dream.

Every success story starts with a dream.

Many years ago the Wright Brothers in the US saw birds flying in the air and it inspired them to dream about a machine that would fly in the air one day.

In a few years' time, this dream became a reality as they flew their first handmade machine in the air successfully.

This lead to a revolution in transportation and today we have state of the art, wonderful aircraft like Boeing and others which ferry millions of people all across the world.

It all started with a dream. We could narrate thousands of stories that started with dreams and turned into million-dollar successful businesses.

How To Use The Power Of Dreams In Your Life?

You have read about the power and potential of dreams.

Now you must be wondering how can I use the power of dreams to achieve success in my life?

I want to answer this question briefly.

All you have to do is start dreaming, using your imagination.

Some people call this the power of visualization.

First of all, you need to think about what are the few things that you are passionate about.

That will give you a clue about your dreams.

Once you have zeroed in on two or three things that you are very passionate about, you can visualize yourself having already obtained those things.

You need to use the power of your imagination and visualize yourself as successful and having obtained whatever it is that you want to obtain.

Start daydreaming again. Our parents warned us against daydreaming.

But I want to encourage you to start doing so.

Start visualizing. Start seeing yourself having achieved your goals in your mind already.

This is how you will use the power of dreams in your life.

Don’t underestimate the power of imagination, dreams, and visualization.

See yourself as successful, healthy, enjoying life.

That’s the way to use the power of dreams in your life.

I have used it in my life many times and it has worked always, without fail.

I want you to do the same and enjoy the results.

Happy dreaming.
