How to make money successfully on Ebay
The priorities of selling an item.
As a highly experienced seller and buyer on Ebay, I completely understand how much time is wasted trying to find the perfect item. When searching for their lusted after item, buyers will be looking at these things.
The description. The description should be wide, include as many details as possible and let your buyer know exactly what they are getting!
Measurements. The measurements of an item are so important! especially in clothing or furniture. Make it clear.
Photographs. The photos need to be clear, not fuzzy or blurred. you should be capturing your item in its finest way possible. make sure its colours and edges really stand out. try to include around 3 pictures, one perhaps with a tape measure involved to prove your measurements.
Postage. The postage prices which you ask for, should be reasonable. Yes, we want to get as much money as possible for our item, but don't overprice people. They know what costs what. Be fair and honest.
Seller feedback. Positive feedback on ebay reassures the buyer. When selling things ask for good feedback. If you buy from people too, make sure to rate them on their products. Good feedback is essential.
Condition. The condition is possibly the most important thing people look for when buying on ebay. I once sold a designer wallet which had a broken zip, it sold for £27. I was honest and explained it was broken, even including photos of the zip. People need honesty, if anything it makes you much more trustworthy. Even if its a snag on a jumper you are selling, let them know. You don't want to be getting bad feedback, especially if you are a new member.
Making your item unique.
Many times I have found myself stuck for choice among the amid searching results. Thousands of items that appear which I do not want to see. I want my product there in its finest form gleaming back at me. Make sure your product is unique by attatching the relevant words. For example, if your selling a dress, add words such as party dress, formal, casual, cotton, leather, ruched, mini, sparkly. That way your buyers will find you!
I myself tend to stay away from the multiple productions of an item. Usually, if the seller is selling a large quantity of the same product, it could be a copy or a fake. So by making yours look like it was once loved and has been taken care of, is a huge selling tactic.
So there you go, some simple yet very effective points to pay attention to when selling on ebay. Good luck! you never know, you could become one of eBay's top rated sellers!
