How to write letter to mobile phone company/service provider for waive off extra charges

How to write letter to mobile phone company/service provider for waive off extra charges

I would like to share with you that mobile phone companies charge money from you for various reasons. If you carefully check the statement, many of the charges are base less and we should not pay the full bill amount. In such situations it is better to write letters to put up the matter in the attention of cell phone company. Whatever is the mater I advise you to clarify with the service provider before paying the amount.

I have got some reversal of money by writing letters to my service provider. Saving money means earning money. Some sample letters and its reply are reproducing hereunder for your reference and use. For Identity protection I am using fictitious name and address as well as replaced the mobile no with xxx.

I am surprised to note that this month you have charged Rs. 200 - towards the Bill period charges in the current Bill dated 06.03.2010. Please note I have already paid the monthly rental for entire one year starting from 15.07.2009 till 16.07.2010. Since I paid the advance rental you are requested to waive off the Rs. 200 - charged in the current bill and confirm.

Dear Sir,

This is reference to my Airtel Mobile No. xxxxxxxxx123 I am surprised to note that again you have charged Rs.50/- extra this month as against Rs. 38.50 the actual call charges.

Last few months I am writing to you regarding my Advance Rental connection. I have paid Advance rent in the Month of July 2009 and it will continue till 16.07.2010. I am failed to understand why you are charging Rs. 50/- extra in the current bill. You are requested to kindly reverse the amount from my bill and confirm the same so that I would be able to make the payment on time.

If you check the statements, for example, July 2009 and August 2009 you will find I had paid only call charges. So Please bill me the call charges till the expiry of the advance rental plan.

Also please continue the same bill plan till the expiry i.e. till 16.07.2010.

Dear Sir,

I am using the above connection for a long time. Last July 15, 2009 I Paid Rs. 699 as advance Rental for one year. That is valid up to July 15 2010. The Bill Plan was AES 699. (Advance rental for one year)

I received the bill for the last month. You are charging Rs. 350 for the period 5 Aug 2010 to 4th Sept 2010.

I am surprised to note that you never asked or informed me that you are changing it to monthly rental plan.

May I request you to kindly continue the AES 699 plan (Advance rental for one year) for my connection and revers the amount charged on my bill.

Please see the below mail for my communication with you in the past.

My complaint letter to Mr. Anil Ambani

Mr. Anil Ambani
Chairman,
Reliance Communication Ltd,
Mumbai.

Dear Sir,

I have taken 3G Reliance Postpaid connection No. 8010xxxxxx on 30.08.2011 to use on my Apple Ipad2 with "3G Plan 2 GB Rental Rs. 749 Free Quota 2GB"

From 05.09.2011, I noticed that the service has been deactivated. When I contacted your customer care they informed me that the verification status of address showing negative and asked me to contact your Reliance world office from where I Purchased the connection.

I met Ms. Neetu at Reliance world at Sector 18, Noida and she told me that the verification showing positive in her system and she sent an email for activating the connection. She informed that the connection will be activated within 24 hours. They have given me a contact No. 0120-3042993. We tried this number during the last 2 week many times but did not get any response.

On 09.09.2011 I again spoke to your customer care and they informed me that I have to visit the Reliance world and asked me to submit the documents once again. We submitted the documents on 12.09.2011 to Ms Sheetu (Mob. No. 87500xxxxx) at Reliance World at P-8, Sector-18, Noida-201301.

Again I am in regular touch with the Reliance world office and the customer care and Nodel office. But till now it is not activated.

Emails to appellate authority and Nodal office is a waste of time as they are not interested in solving the problem. Please see the appended chain mails and reply from the appellate authority and nodal office.

Today, It is 19.09.2011 and 19 days passed. We visited your Reliance world office 8 times. Submitted all the documents and forms 2 times. Verification done 2 times. Still I am waiting for the activation of 3G reliance connection to be used in my Apple Ipad2.

Hope you understand why Reliance losing its customers. At the Reliance world office I met many frustrated customers who are willing to chose another service provider instead of hanging with Reliance.

May I request you to kindly look into it and kindly activate the service at the earliest.

Thanks & Regards,

Followup mail to Mr. Ambani

Dear Mr Ambani,

Further to my mail sent to you, I have received several phone calls from different persons in Reliance in the last 2 days as a followup of my earlier email, but there is no movement and i have not received either the new card or restoration of my old connection. I also received a call 2 days ago from your office and they too promised that soemthing positively will be done by 21st but nothing has been done till today the 22nd.

I wish you good luck with your Telecom business. I am sure at this pace you will lose a large no of your customers.

Aggrieved, angry and upset.

Dear xyz,

Thanks for your prompt reply.

Please note the bill amount for previous month is Rs. 49/- only and current
month unbilled amount is Rs.1/- only. Total Rs. 50/- I am supposed to pay.

Rest of the amount you are charging is for the advance rental Rs. 999/- and
Again Rs.499/- and the taxes. I am failed to understand why you are charging
advance rental two times for a disconnected connection. You are therefore
requested to revere these advance rent charged on the bill.

When I requested for the cancellation of the connection you have promised that
there won't be any rent from the date of request i.e. 05.10.2011 till the
cancellation takes place. I have already paid advance rent till 05.10.2011.

Please carefully study the bill before sending such vague mail to me.

I am failed to understand that, if I am not using the service, why should I pay
the advance Rent Rs. 999/- and Rs. 499/- and the tax of the clubbed amount.

Please read the bill carefully and cancel the bill immediately and confirm the
same to me by return mail. Otherwise I will take up the matter to the
concerned authority for justice.

Look forward to hearing from you,

With kind and cordial regards.
