Hundreds of Ideas

Updated on September 23, 2017

A few months ago I wrote about how easy it can be to come up with ideas. That article was written as a way to counteract the myth that there are no good ideas left for what to turn into a business. In the same way, many can see it as especially difficult to routinely come up with blog post ideas.

When I started this blog I feared that I would have a hard time coming up with enought things that I wanted to write about. I know that you are supposed to have lots of things to write about when you set out to start a blog. I didn't I just knew that I wanted to get started blogging.

Because I knew that I would likely have a difficulty coming up with enough ideas for content to create I decided that I would write down ten ideas everyday for different articles. Most of these aren't articles that I want to write, but after having done it almost 50 days in a row I know have 500 article ideas that I can choose from. With this many to choose from it is not likely that I will run out of things to write very soon.

This list of ideas isn't static though. I continually add 10 new ideas to the list every day. If you are looking for ideas of what to start for a business then writing down ten ideas everyday is a great way to come up with the idea that you might want to use. Like I have mentioned before, these ten ideas that you come up with don't have to be great ideas, you don't even have to use any of them. Hopefully throughout the process of coming up with ideas you will begin to train your brain to find ideas everywhere.

Remember when you are trying to come up with ideas you aren't looking for phenomenal ideas directly out of the gate. Instead you are looking for anything that might create a spark in your mind that you can use later to create something phenomenal. I know that I have written this before, but if you struggle coming up with ten ideas then come up with twenty ideas. These ideas are more about quantity than they are about quality. You are just trying to get the brain going and get other ideas flowing. You aren't trying to discover the cure for cancer.

If you really don't think that it is possible to find any ideas for what you can do to create a business, then I ask you to try coming up with new ideas everyday. At just ten iddeas a day you will soon amaze yourself when after the end of only one month you have three hundred different ideas that you can could use to create the business that you have always wanted. If you do this regularly and still aren't seeing any ideas come out of it, then I would like to hear from you. If you do see some new ideas start to percolate in your mind then I would like to hear about that too. Just drop me a comment below to let me know what you are thinking.

-God Bless
Christopher Benner
