Importance of a Resume Indeed
Why so much stress is given on Resume Writing?
It's true that resume is the only weapon in your hand when you are fighting for a job. When I was preparing for my placements, teachers used to give a lot of stress on writing an impressive resume. In this article, I am going to tell about my placement experience as far as Resume is concerned.
I got my resume printed just a couple of hours before my interview. I had no idea about what should I write in my resume. I gave a quick glance to my friend's resume. It was detailed. He has put in a lot of achievements, activities, and much more stuff. I felt shortage of achievements and other stuff for my resume. Some of you may not believe but I didn't even had a career objective in my resume. Later I explained stuff like my education details, my proficiency details and my hobbies (including blogging).
If a resume writing competition was going on, and I had to judge my resume by comparing it to other people, I would have given it an average rating. But I was the one of the 12 students who got selected out of total 115 students from my college.
Let me explain now!
What I want to say is, that a resume is an important document, which will speak about you in an interview but up to a certain extent. You need not waste a lot of time in designing your resume. Just write whatever is appropriate and devote more time in enhancing your skills & knowledge which will prove more valuable in an interview. If you want a good job, then you must work hard on your knowledge. You will feel confident when you have appropriate knowledge about your subjects. You won't be wasting your time on researching "How to write a resume". Confidence is the key to crack an interview and it will come automatically with knowledge.
