Jobs in Makati Philippines | Now Hiring 2014

Updated on January 2, 2014

Makati City is the capital business hub and financial district of the Philippines so if you are one of the millions of Filipinos who are looking for jobs and want to get hired faster, you might as well pluck yourself up and start in Makati. It is 2014 and big companies in Makati are always hiring continuously. There are thousands of openings today not to mention more during hiring peak season.

How to get a job in Makati in one day? Is it possible? Yes, it is so possible. I discussed the tips here. Someone would ask, “I am a foreigner and want to work in Makati, are there any jobs for me?” Look around you, have you been to Greenbelt? Tell me who the boss is…Ok let’s start.

The best and high paying jobs in Makati City today are in the IT jobs and business. If you are in the Information Technology field, you definitely can’t get home without the bacon. Companies like IBM and Hewlett Packard will surely welcome you. You have also big chance to Outsourcing companies like Accenture and some more BPO companies hiring staff for technical support and web developers. Software engineers are also wanted to some huge banks and local companies in the heart of Makati.

If you are in the field of business and finance, good for you because major banks along Ayala Avenue, Makati Avenue and Sen. Gil Puyat Ave. are always hiring and searching fresh graduates and experienced professional staff. You will find the main and head offices of big banks in the Philippines like Metrobank, Allied Bank, BPI (Bank of the Philippine Island), BDO (Banco de Oro), RCBC, PBCom and many more. Don’t’ forget to try to JP Morgan and Chase, too it’s one of the biggest banks in the world. Accounting staff and accounting positions are also wanted everywhere not only from banks. Same with auditing and finance professionals.

Engineering jobs and architect positions are hiring to some major engineering and architectural firms. Nurses, and medical staff are wanted to hospital like the famous Makati Medical Center. If you are in the hotel and restaurant sector, five star hotels are nearby the Central Business District, too like Shangri-la Hotel, Manila Peninsula and more. They are searching for qualified individuals like hotel customer service associates, receptionists, concierge staff, chef de partie, managers and a lot more.

Law firms and auditing firms have offices to some famous towers. I think the top accounting and auditing firms in the Philippines are in the heart of Makati, too.

If you are searching for international career opportunities, having experience and employment in companies in Makati will help you boost more your chance of getting hired. Before I forget, teaching jobs are so available too because some colleges and universities have branches in Makati City now like Mapua Institute of Technology, Centro Escolar University and De La Salle University’s Professional Schools in the RCBC Tower. Since Makati is close to Rockwell Center and Bonifacio Global City, employment opportunities are endless.

How to get a job in Makati in One Shot?

In this modern and high tech age, it’s so easy to get a job in one shot. In a day, you can get your dream job. Usually companies post their available positions online from their official websites. So you have to check your target company’s website career section and submit your resume. Make it stand out among others. Make it so succinct. Also make sure your course and experiences are related to the job you are applying for. Apply to more companies as possible because you never know when chances would knock again at your door. I have listed the companies hiring in Makati here. All you have to do is submit your impressive CV/Resume and wait to be called. They will surely contact for interview if they’re interested. You can find jobs online anytime but I always trust a company’s official website than others.

If you like to do walk-in too, you can. But you have to go to each office one at a time to apply and pass your resume. If you have a car, good for you. Some recruitment events or job fairs are held once in a while to some events in Manila. You can come and submit your resume.

Usually, they will contact you for initial interview and exams to see your skills and capabilities. If you passed, then another interview. If you passed again, congrats.

MRT is along Edsa and I love this route than other else when commuting. Just stop at Ayala Station (ticket is around P15 now)and walk thru Ayala Avenue. The companies are there nearby each other. Just walk through and you will see them. Don’t forget, there are underpasses everywhere in case you want to cross the street.

Others choose LRT, just stop by Gil Puyat Station and ride a bus going to Makati.
