Make Money Online with WebAnswers

Updated on March 7, 2011

Start Making Money Online Using

WebAnswers is a Google Adsense revenue sharing site that allows you to make by asking and answering questions. The ultimate goal of the site is to have your answer chosen as the best answer by the user who originally posted the question. If awarded the best answer to a question, you instantly begin earning 60% of the Google Adsense revenue that is collected as a result of people clicking the adds on that question. WebAnswers keeps 40% of the add revenue much like Hubpages and other sites that offer a slice of the Google Adsense "pie". WebAnswers is a special site because their partnership with Google allows them to reach a very large online audience. This amounts to large potential revenues for its users.

You can start making substantial money using WebAnswers now! The first step is to sign up and begin asking and answering questions. Once you submit first ten posts on WebAnswers, you will be allowed to start collecting Google Adsense revenue. When answering questions keep in mind that quality is better than quantity and you will accumulate revenue faster if your answers are complete.

Keys to Earning Money on WebAnswers

1. Provide Quality Answers

The first, and most important thing to keep in mind when answering questions on WebAnswers is to provide quality, well though-out answers. One thing a WebAnswers beginner should know is that the site monitors and tracks the quality of your answers using a Quality Score. This quality "ranking" is not disclosed to the user, instead it is kept secret mostly to protect the integrity of the site.

When posting answers it is best to write at least 3-5 sentences that contain information directly relevant to the question. Try and minimize the amount of misspellings and grammatical mistakes as these will lower your quality score. Once you have asked and answered a total of around two hundred questions, you will be able to edit your content after you post it. So it is most important to watch out for mistakes, especially as you begin on WebAnswers.

2. Answer Questions Consistently

A great strategy for maximizing your profits on WebAnswers is to answer a few questions each day rather than a bunch of questions one day and none the next. This method of consistency will pay off by keeping your questions and answers popular and also more likely to be indexed into the search engines. Even if you are only answering a handful of questions each day, as long as they are quality answers you will quickly see a rise in your Google Adsense revenue.

3. Use Time Efficiently on WebAnswers

While WebAnswers can be a very enjoyable experience, don't forget that your primary objective is to earn Google Adsense revenue by being awarded the best answer to the questions you answer. One strategy that I have found useful is to target questions that are most likely to be awarded to you. This means a few things. First, try and stick to answering questions on topics that you have at least general knowledge of. You will not benefit by just answering every question that you see, in fact this is how the majority of people's time is wasted on WebAnswers.

Next, try and answer questions that are from reputable WebAnswers users. There are a ton of profiles out their that are just what I would call "one-and-done" profiles. That is, users who join WebAnswers and post questions with never having had the intention of awarding the best answer to anyone. One tip to avoid this is to check and see when the question was originally asked. If the question has gone un-awarded for over a month your best bet is to move on and not waste your time.

4. A Picture Says 1000 Words...

With WebAnswers you have the option of adding a picture to you answer. A picture will help your answer stand out from the rest by giving the user a visual interpretation of your answer. Pictures should be used as they apply. Not every answer needs a visual, just the ones that are a little vague or perhaps dry. This method of drawing attention to your answer will help you achieve a high Awarded/Answered ratio.

Ways to Increase Revenue

  1. High Quality Score
  2. Consistently Answer Questions
  3. High Award/Answer Ratio

Avoid Common Mistakes

  1. Misspelled words

  2. Grammatical mistakes

  3. Incomplete sentences

  4. Copy/Pasted material

  5. Very short answers

Earn by Asking Questions

Another way you can earn Google Adsense revenue with WebAnswers is by asking questions. This is a great feature that lets the user collect a small portion of revenue simply by asking a question. Earning money by asking questions is considered temporary, as the creators are currently "testing out" this method of revenue sharing. Just one more reason why you should join today and begin earning money by answering and asking questions!

How Much Can You Make on WebAnswers?

The amount of Google Adsense revenue that you can make on WebAnswers depends on a variety of factors such as answer quality, consistency of answers, and percentage of awarded answers you receive. If you follow the tips given above, you will be well on your way to making a substantial amount of money by answering questions. Some WebAnswers users have reported earnings upwards of $300 per month. Others find that they can only devote a small portion of their time to answering questions and can make $100 - $200 per month just by answering a few every day. The amount you can earn is truly up to you.

As for my own experience with WebAnswers, I have been a member for a couple of months and already I have begun making nearly $50 per month devoting as little as 5 -10 minutes every day to answering a few questions. The amount of revenue you can make all depends on the time you are willing to put into it... but that seems to be typical of most money making ventures you will find.

You begin earning after you answer 10 questions or you are awarded 2 best answers.

Did you add a Web Answers URL Channel to your Adsense account? That is how I see the results of my various accounts that are linked to Google Adsense.

hey this is a great article, very informative for the Hubber that knows nothing about adsense (like me)...

i have a little issue though; i linked my accounts (adsense to webanswers and hubpages) and it says 'active' for the status but when i open adsense, i am not seeing the webanswers results only to resolve this, any ideas?

Congratulations on your hubnugget nomination, a good hub about a great little website.

I've been on web answers for a a few weeks and also recommend it. The thing to bear in mind (in my opinion anyway) is that although it is technically residual income, most of your earnings from answers come within the first few weeks of answering, and the experience of many users is if they stop posting, the income will tail off to zero pretty quick, unless you have got thousands of answers under your belt. I think it is best used to fill in those little bits of time in the day when you don't have time to write a hub, but do have time to answer a couple of questions!

Johnny - Yes you can use the same Adsense code for both sites. After you join, go to Google Adsense click on "View Full Reports". Then on the left side of your screen select "URL Channels", then click on "Add URLs to Track". From there you just input and and you will be able to track earnings from both sites separately.
