Pinoy Mango Growers Gather for Annual National Mango Congress in Laoag City

Updated on March 16, 2016

The National Mango Congress is an annual gathering of mango growers. The 2016 National Mango Congress opened one day ago, on March 15, 2016 in Laoag City in Ilocos Norte. The ongoing discussions are centered around relevant issues, including profitability in the midst of lowering retail prices, and implementing sustainable strategies and policies across the board. The Philippine mango industry is facing significant challenges today. The Congress is an important venue for cooperation amongst mango stakeholders. From March 15-17, the prime movers of the industry will try to exchange ideas and solve problems in order to push the industry forward.

The President of the Mango Industry Foundation, Inc. invited ViNa Gourmet Ville to join the participants of the National Mango Congress for the duration of the event. ViNa Gourmet Ville is currently offering imported refreshing gelato and iced coffee from Vietnam to attendees and visitors of the Congress. While engaged in business discussions, networking, industry gossip, everyone can partake of the affordable and high quality products from one of the most reputable importers in the country today.

The theme for the 15th National Mango Congress is “Seizing climate change opportunities for the mango industry and breaking down market menace through an empowered mango stakeholders backed by sustainable policies and strategies." The Congress is an important event for the local mango industry. We can only hope that by the time the event closes tomorrow, Marc 17, the stakeholders and everyone involved have come up with solutions to the most pressing problems they face today.

Hi, this is very informative. Didn't know there's even a mango growers association. Or Vietnamese gelato, for that matter. :)
