It is key to market your business in a professional and engaging manner to gain a steady flow of traffic. How you market your business can determine the range of success you achieve. There are many different options for marketing your business, which include:

  • Internet Marketing, purchasing a website and or domain name
  • Mail, accepting orders by mail and sending out discount coupons (some people still prefer mail)
  • Inperson Marketing, cold calling and going in-person to sell your product
  • Social Networking, Facebook, Linkedln, Twitter, Google Plus, You Tube
  • Professional Networking, joining a business development Center and Oganization
  • Host a small business seminar in your area
  • Advertise, Using signs on your vechicles
  • Distribute business cards have family and friends to help
  • Attend trade shows and job fairs
  • There are some cable companies that offer business advertisment (research the cost)

The U.S. Small Business Administration is now offering a new set of export oriented podcats that offer valuable information. Which are the issues and challenges small business exports may find when dealing with specific countries. The podcasts, featuring interviews with business representatives from Uganda, Cameroon, and Bahrain, are all part of a comprehensive effort by SBA.

The newest podcast topics include- Marketing To The Federal Government, Getting your small business Ready For Tax Season, and Online Reporting Of Employee Wages. Existing podcasts for entrepreneurs are- Is Entrepreneurship For You, and Checklist For Starting A Business. New podcasts will be added regularly to provide insight and tips.
