Millennials VS. Business
According to countless sites and sources, millennials are killing businesses that have never before been threatened. With new technology becoming more and more advanced, instant gratification is more prevelant in younger generations than it ever has in the past. With everything being reached by the click of a button, it’s no wonder businesses are being threatened. Millenials don’t know what its like to wait in lines, or what it’s like to not instantly have something that we wanted. Restaurants, coffee houses and even department stores are lacking customers and business, thanks to things like mobile orders and online shopping. However, what older generations fail to realize, is that they are just as responsible for business fails. Recently, we had Christmas at my grandmas house. We were all taken aback when opening our gifts. Everything was neatly wrapped in boxes, and to our surprise, she had ordered all of our presents online. Shocked, we asked her why. She said that she had recently realized just how easy it was to order online. With this information, it’s easy to see that millennials, aren’t the only ones responsible for killing business. What is a solution to this steady growing problem? The answer, if you don’t need it instantly, think about going out and getting it. Not only will this save you money, because of skipping processing fees, but you’re helping out businesses around you as well. Overall, shopping and buying in store is helping business owners, and saving you that extra bit of money. Before you confirm that next Amazon order, think, maybe you could help out a business owner and buy in store.
