POOP NAPS: Do You Take Them
WHAT IS A 'POOP NAP?'
You're at work, still tired from yesterday and didn't get enough sleep. That homework assignment kept you up until 2:00a.m. or baby kept you cooing until 4:00a.m. You dragged out of bed at 7:00a.m., showered, dressed and had a mug of expresso on the ride to work. Now, you're ready for work! Your energy level is through the roof. So you're giving it all you've got for 2, 3, or 4 hours, then CRASH!!! It may or may not be lunch time yet. You've got that important meeting in thirty minutes. It may even be a 'work ritual' you've personalized for yourself. You run to the restroom, lock the stall door, sit on the toilet, lean back, pull your cap over your eyes, and snooze. What you have is, 'A POOP NAP!'
DON'T GET CAUGHT!!!
We all are entitled to a break while on the job. However, there is a time and a place for all good things. For those who indulge, this even includes 'a nap.' The following is a list of tips for getting that poop nap:
*Don't get caught!!
*Ask a co-worker to have your back: of course this would have to be a fellow poop napper who knows the rules of the game.
*DO NOT nap in the boss' private rest room (even if he/she is out of the office for a designated period of time). He or she, just may return sooner than you think.
*DO NOT snore: A definite red flag and you may need to see a doctor. (Sleep Apnea Symptoms, Diagnosis and Treatment).
*DO NOT use your ring tone to wake you: In most workplaces cell phones are not a welcome gadget anyway. Your ring tone just may help you get caught.
*DO NOT forget that you are at work (you may fall in the toilet). And better yet, TAKE NO POOP NAP AT ALL!!!
NOT ONLY FOR THE WORKPLACE
Informants say, due to the busy-ness of families' they live with or who live with them, and the inability to properly rest even in their own home, a poop nap is feasible.
And if you're caught sleeping on February 28th, which is 'Public Sleeping Day' maybe this can be your excuse. It may help ya' out a bit, or not.
Due to the economic/employment crunch we are experiencing. And, the employers' raise in their standard of hiring and keeping current employees, poop naps, should be done in moderation, if at all.
