Panelbase Review

Updated on May 28, 2013

One of the UK's Fastest Growing Survey Panels

Panelbase is now one of the UK's biggest and most popular market research communities. They pay their members in cash for completing online surveys or taking part in other research activities. The following is a full review of the company and what you can expect by becoming a member.

Take Surveys at Panelbase.net

The sign up process is very quick and easy and takes little over 5 minutes requiring you to enter very basic details. Once an account is set up you will need to create a profile so any future surveys can be matched to your particular interests. The profile requires you to fill in around 8 sections of information about yourself or your household including general, education, employment, education, finance, hobbies and a couple of other topics. For each profile topic you complete 50p will be added to your account, so you will earn around £4 before participating in any online surveys.

The site itself look fairly basic however it is only there so you can login and check your account balance when you want too. All surveys invitations will be sent direct to your e-mail account and a link in the e-mail will take you straight into the questionnaire. Not only can you complete surveys at Panelbase but you can also opt in for telephone surveys, SMS surveys and other projects which all give you the chance to earn extra cash.

In my own experience with the site I've found that you will be paid on average between 50p and £2 per survey that are 5 to 20 minutes long, officially they state that they will pay up to £10 each. Once you have taken the survey payment is always credited to your account with 7 days. The invitations to participate are quite frequent and will often be targeted at your location. For example if you live in the London area you will receive surveys based on that particular area.

Once you have accumulated £10 in your account you can request payment, this can either be paid straight into your bank account via BACS. Alternatively you can request a high street voucher where there are over 72 different places to choose from including New Look, HMV, Comet, Boots, Mothercare, Halfords and many more. As the website is based in the UK and only available to UK residents payments are sent very quickly and efficiently.

As well as taking surveys you are also given the option to participate in online and off-line focus groups where you can be paid as much as £250 per session. The chance to part part in these will only come along occasionally and be offered to established members first.

Overall I would say that Panelbase is certainly one of the better market research sites on the internet. If you live in the UK and are looking to earn cash on a regular basis for taking surveys then Panelbase is definitely worth joining.
