Promote Your Business Online With A Twist!

I love working with the internet. It's a great way to reach new friends, see what others are thinking and keep up with old friends.

I also think some of the social media is a bit "inbreed" and people need to think a little more about what they are doing and how they are promoting "their" business.

I see people pounding me with the same message 3 times a day (or more) for 7 days a week for months on end trying to promote the same business opportunity.

Think about this, unless your adding new people to your social media database (adding new friends everyday), and not to many people are doing that, you are hitting the same audience everyday with the same message, over and over and over again. Sound familiar...

What turned most people off in the past with network marketing? Whenever you saw a person at a party or meeting, all they would talk about is this amazing business opportunity! It became old, and you would turn away when you saw them approaching.

Nothing has changed except the medium... social media. This is not a good way to promote your business! People will ignore your posts and then "unfriend" you.

Like the old days, you need to take a different approach when you are trying to promote your business with the internet.

Lasting residual income in Network Marketing - contrary to all the hype out there - is built on the personal relationship and trust between two individuals.

If you think you can build an business empire strictly online that will produce money for life, without building any relationship or never plan to have any contact with your downline... it's time to wake up! It will never happen!

That doesn't mean that the Internet can't be used as a tool to help you promote your business. You'll need to be able to overcome some inherent problems with online MLM.

"If a tweet falls into cyber space and no one responds, did it make an impact?" There are so many people... posting so much stuff out there about them and about their business... is anyone really listening. I know for a fact, I blow past most posts, unless they really catch my eye.

There are simply too many people trying to promote their programs or businesses on the internet the market is saturated. Which causes a lot of eager, inexperienced people to promote their MLM on the net the wrong way and angering a lot of Internet users... giving MLM or home based businesses a bad name.

The whole idea of social media, is to be "social", to create a personal relationship with people. I know that I have connected with several old high school friends, but we really haven't "renewed" the old friendship. And I know that I have become closer to people I have never met.

Use the internet and social media to promote personal relationships. Get to know people, and bond with them. It's not that difficult to build trust and create a bond, long-term profitable relationship online. Interact with people, share a genuine interest in them. Get to know them.

Nothing will ever take the place of the relationship aspect of Network Marketing, just ask some of the people who have been in AMWAY for 20+ years without making a dime. Studies show they stay because of the people and the friendships they have created.

No matter what tools you have, or don't have, the power in promoting your business will always be in your ability to build personal relationships.

You may get a prospect to join the business you promote, even if you don't have, or haven't yet built, personal relationship with them... but try to get them to stay loyal and actually go to work is difficult.

And, what were seeing more and more is that they will quickly jump ship from the business you promote, and move on to the next greatest opportunity with hype that comes along promising something for nothing.

Don't give up on promoting your business online with social media. Come up with interesting and creative ways to promote, and work on reaching a new audience.

You have got to use it the right way to promote your business. Your online efforts should be the first step in creating a bonding relationship... and realize that it's just the first step.

Think of the Internet - NOT as a sponsoring method - but as a way to introduce you to people to YOU, and that you can add to your circle of influence.

When people connect to you... communicate with them, engage with them and share with them.
