4 Tips for Instagram Growth

Instagram is one of the best and most popular platforms to grow your business on. I am going to give you four tips to grow your Instagram and get more engagement on your content.

1.) Provide Value

Providing value is a big one that will attract active and relevant followers. By creating valuable content in your specified field you will intrigue your current followers to engage or possibly ask questions. This will also attract new followers, they will enjoy reading and learning from your valuable tips and then follow you and or engage on your posts to learn more from you in the future. Creating valuable information on posts is a crucial way to create a professional looking Instagram as well. If account users see that you have good content to provide they will agree that you one, know what you are talking about as well as they can learn from you.

2.) Post Quality Content

Instagram is a picture platform mainly, so by posting high quality photos along with high quality written words you are most likely to gain followers like crazy. High quality pictures will likely grab the attention of the user, then the user will read the post. You need both the high quality pictures and written content to hook then contain the user's interest to gain the follower. Blurry photos as well as messy or unorganized written content will likely turn off your current followers and can cause them to unfollow you. This means quality over quantity, so if you don't have good quality pictures to post or no valuable written words to add, then wait until you have a well-organized post prepared.

3.) Hashtags

Many Instagram users overlook the idea of hashtags. If hashtags are used correctly they can immensely help you attract more followers and get more engagement on your posts. To use your hashtags properly you will need to do a little bit of research. Go to the search tab in Instagram and look at popular Instagram accounts that are in the same field as your business. Take a look at the hashtags that they are using and what would match up with your business. You can also search popular tags in the search tab of Instagram that are relevant to your business.

4.) Connect with your Followers

Connecting with the users following you is a great way to build a relationship and make your followers feel more a part of your business. People love to read stories about their interests and feel included, so by finding ways to include your followers you will maintain a stronger "loyalty" to your business. You can connect with your followers in a few different ways! First, one of the best ways to really connect and get to know your followers better is to reply to comments. People will often comment with a compliment or even a question, but either way by replying will show your followers that you care about them and are listening to what they have to say. Connecting with current followers can also encourage potential followers to ask questions and engage on your posts. Another way you can connect with your followers on Instagram is to answer their DMs, DM stands for Direct Message. Usually the Direct messages consist of questions about your business or could even be a potential customer, so be sure to pay close attention to your DMs. One of my favorite ways to now connect with followers on Instagram is to use the new Poll feature. By using the story feature on Instagram you can create a poll, followers love to feel as thought they are being heard. So, create polls about business questions and see what your followers have to say!
