Pune, the hub of students and job seekers

The wake up call

It was a bright sunny morning of April, which I had planned to enjoy with a cup of coffee sitting in my lawn. Just a few days had passed since my high school exams and I had decided to take some days off the study, career and all such hectic decisions to be taken. But, this morning when I sat quietly in my lawn sipping the coffee, with a newspaper in the other hand, I realised that I don't really have the time to relax. I should rather invest all of my time in deciding about what forms should be filled to pursue my further studies and which cities can I consider for the same. It was a wake up call for me, and luckily I wasn't too late. It was the time when all the colleges were conducting the entrances and all the other proceedings for admissions.

My urge to explore Pune

It took me a while to decide that I can consider moving to any other Indian city to pursue my further studies. Though there were numerous choices for me opt for, within Delhi, but I had this urge to move to some other education hub, where I would learn to live independently. So, I settled for Pune, a city which is not so crowded and developed to an extent that you can expect to spend an exciting life here. Top of everything, Pune is considered to be an education hub, where many institutes welcome you to chase your professional goals.

Pune is a job hub too

Pune is a hub for students, but it is turning out to be a job hub too. The city may not be that popular to among the job seekers, but its potential as a job hub is making it attract lot of job seekers. The number of migrants staying in the city is seen growing with the kind of opportunities it boasts of, for them.

If we review the city’s job sector, automotive looks prominent. It houses the set ups of the leading automobile brands including Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Mercedes Benz, Force Motors, and Kinetic Motors. Besides, some including Volkswagen, General Motors, Jaguar, Land Rover, and Fiat have their greenfield facilities here.

Industrial activity in Pune defines the most of its employment potential. Besides, manufacturing, research and Information Technology are on a rise in the city. It is welcoming more international brands with the years passing by, which calls for more opportunities for the students in the city.

The alluring job opportunities prevailing here turned out to be another signficant reason for me to consider it. The jobs in Pune, in the years to come are expected to make it a significant job destination.

And the city served me well

I preferred Pune over other major Indian cities to pursue my graduation and the decision was absolutely correct. At the end of my tenure in the college, I found out that the city had made me learn a lot. It had made me independent, confident and top of everything it helped me find a job soon after I appeared for my exams in graduation.
