Identifying Your Strengths and Weaknesses Will Help You to Achieve Success in Marriage

Updated on March 18, 2016

Essentials of Success

The strengths and weaknesses are related to the internal driving forces that affect your practice in either a positive or negative way. Do you know your personal strengths? Can you name your biggest personal strengths instantly? Knowing your personal strengths and weaknesses can help you a lot in choosing the right spouse or making good other decisions. Because if you are able to focus what you do around your personal strengths, you have the chance to create something remarkable, while making it look like it’s almost effortless for you. This is what you do best and where your real talents are. If you want to have a comfortable life, you should focus on using those strength to the fullest, because that’s where you have a comparative advantage and where you can create the most value for other people.

You should know that there are certain areas of your personality and life that you will have to improve to have a happy marriage or reach any of your goals. Recognizing your personal strengths and weakness is a challenge to everyone, but until you list each and every one and recognize what are your weaknesses and strengths you will not be able to improve in what you are weak on. Recognizing areas of weakness with the desire to improve on them will help you to become a better person. If you want to excel at anything, it’s not enough to fix your weaknesses. You also need to improve your strengths. Before you can improve your strengths, you need to figure out what they are.

So often, we see ourselves through rose-colored glasses. If you want to recognize your strengths, you need other people to hold up a mirror. Talk to a family member or friend; make sure it is someone you trust. The reason for this is because they would have noticed your strengths; they will be able to help you acknowledge your strengths. Try to think of a specific area in your life that other praise you for. This will help you find things you are good at and help you acknowledge your strengths. When you see your reflection through the eyes of those who know you well, you can begin to identify your most unique talents to be exploited.

Please do the little exercise and reveal your own personal strengths. The types of strengths I am talking about are personality traits, for example, integrity, originality, creative, educated, charming, adventurous, determined, clever, visionary, courageous and kindness. When you try to find your own strength, think about what comes naturally easy for you. And don’t choose attributes that you would like to have or that you admire.

Equally important as knowing your personal strengths know your personal weaknesses. Those are attributes that you will have a hard time when doing it, it’s difficult for you. That’s why you should try to let people who are better than you do this.

Knowing where you come in strong and where you need assistance can help you stabilize your personal life and nurture your professional interactions and marital affairs. When you are doing something you feel good about, it shows you have strength in that area and this strength will help you achieve goals and success.

Self-knowledge is a powerful tool that too many people disregard because it's difficult or inconvenient. If you want to be able to identify your strengths and weaknesses, whether for a job or for person reasons, read on for tips and tricks.

Choose those that fit your strengths and then compare them against each other to bring them into an order. 1 is your biggest strength. When you compare them ask yourself: “What can I do better?” And put them in order of strength.

You may discover that you are strong in one or more strengths. It can also be interesting to think about a big strength you have that is relatively rare in most other humans. For instance writing is a relatively rare quality. So when you are thinking about your career, maybe you should build your work around those personal strengths that you do possess but most other people don’t. they will enable you to create a niche for yourself. Then you can create the most value for yourself and others. It’s also important not to confuse strengths with likes.

Everybody has weaknesses. It’s a natural thing, humans are not perfect. So don’t be embarrassed to look at your weaknesses. To be a winner you have to acknowledge your weaknesses. It will help you to improve yourself to know them. And here are some examples of typical people’s weaknesses: rude, aggressive, greedy, lazy, arrogant, intolerant, close-minded, mistrustful, fearful, selfish, undisciplined, wasteful, reckless, short-sighted and stubborn.

When you acknowledge your weaknesses, but take no action to change them you will stay at where you are now. So identifying your weaknesses is one thing doing something about them is necessary. Many people will use their weaknesses for sympathy or to get attention. It is no good hiding behind your weaknesses or pretending you do not have any, because everyone does, the important thing is how you deal with it.

I believe there are two kinds of people in this world, there are winners who know what they want and understand their potential and the possibilities that are open to them, and they have a positive attitude and recognize their weaknesses. Next are the losers, who do not have clue as to who they are and allow circumstances to shape their lives and self-image. They have a negative attitude and refuse to recognize their weaknesses.

In general it’s much better to focus on using your personal strengths and try to control your weaknesses. Probably one of the hardest things to deal with when recognizing your weaknesses is overcoming what other people tell you or say about you. It is one thing for you to see and recognize your own weaknesses, but quite another for someone else to point them out. Some people react angrily when their weaknesses are brought to their notice, as such people avoid mentioning them in their presence. If you can take the accusations, and you can overcome thoughts of anger, because of what they have said or done, then you are on the way to changing your life. So the question is how you use your strengths instead of your weaknesses.

So knowing your personal strengths and weaknesses can give you a lot of insights in understanding and changing yourself and achieving your life desires. Think of areas in your life that you are proud of and take advantage of them. This will help you know that your strengths can bring you success and happiness. If you find you can learn something easily, this can be a help in changing your life. And it will help you to make the right decisions. It will also show that you have strength in that area, you’ll succeed financially and that success leads to happiness and self-actualization.
