We live in a world where photos and pictures are essential to building a business, whether it is a small business or a home-based business such as eBay. And during the spring months, jackets are nearly a necessity for a complete look. In the Northwest, we still have many cool, and rainy days and nights ahead of us before the summer appears. A nice well-made jacket gives you a stylish look.

Spring jackets are in demand during this time of the year, and if you have a new or preowned gently worn jacket, you can sell it for a decent amount of money and improve your eBay sales.

In this hub, I am going to show you how to showcase your jacket or blazer so that buyers will be longing to have the item you have photographed with numerous pictures that speak for themselves. Take a careful look at the photos, and notice that each one tells a different story. Enjoy, and happy selling!

The first picture is called the "main photo." If you had no other photo to show, the main photo is the one that grabs the eye of the potential buyer and pulls him in to see more.

This first picture tells the entire story of the jacket. It shows the front snapped with collar raised, and it is very clean. A picture like this shows how cool you can look wearing this jacket. A photo should tell a story, and encourage you to step into the garment. You want your potential buyer to feel that they can't live without the item they are viewing. Buyers enjoy looking at pictures that are clear and concise. Almost all of your questions are answered with your main photo.

Now for a view of the back of the blazer. The importance of showing the back is for the buyer to see if there are vents. Sometimes jackets have a vent in the middle, and it can be a game changer. The back of the blazer also reveals how the collar is made, and the length of the jacket.

Now take a closer look at the photo that emphasizes the front buttons. You can see how many buttons there are and the color. You can tell that the buttons are metal and that they snap. Since the buttons snap, it can be worn closed or open.

Now take a look at this view of the bottom front emphasizing the pockets. Notice there are two front pockets. Buyers generally want to know all the details, and don't feel that it is "over-kill" to show many photos.

There are two front pockets in front to hold little items.

Spring gives us a change to break out of our cocoons and shed our heavy winter wear. Spring is the time of year to declutter, so while you're decluttering, post your good items on eBay and make a little cash in exchange.

Pictures with color, complimentary backgrounds (plain or colorless are great) and closeups make for great viewing and entertainment. When you combine great photos with a great item, you'll do well.

You can use your smartphone's camera, iPad, tablet, canon, or any camera that produces great photos to post pictures on eBay.

In conclusion, you want to demonstrate three things when showing your product on eBay:

1) Fabric. The fabric of an item, often suggests the season. Colors, material and weight often show the season of the clothing.

2) Designer. You will want to capture the designer's name by photographing the inside, which is normally where the size is also displayed.

3) Usage. Showing that the jacket opens and closes, pockets and collar up, shows the many uses of this item.

As a seller on eBay, I enjoy selling and helping others sell too!

One important matter to note, read the policy and guidelines on eBay about photo usage to make sure you get the best results.

All-in-all, photograph what you would want to see if you were the buyer!

These are really good tips for sellers on Ebay. I have friends who make a pretty good sum and they all agree with you - you have to use great pictures.
