Sharing On Social Media

Updated on June 17, 2011

Sharing on social media and bookmarking sites, an easy to follow guide.

This is an example from my eBook I wrote and have for sale on Ebay.

I have personally spent hours of my life working out the hard way how to share content across the internet to drive traffic to my blogs and websites, now I want to share with you the things I have learnt to save you time and frustration.

This information is available online and on each website, but this is a much easier way to get a feel of what is right for you and also a few things I have discovered along the way.

I have included lnks to each website to make it easier for you , I have included some of my profile links to sites as well so you can see what I have done.

The choice is yours how many you join and which ones you think will be of use to you.

Facebook and Twitter are big, but some of these other options have a lot of daily users, a lot of people out there think that sticking to Facebook and Twitter is enough for marketing, I do not believe this is the case, if you keep an eye on your traffic sources to your sites after joining up and submitting your sites, you will see what I mean. My husband and myself have purchased programs and software from Internet Marketing gurus and no one explained to us about all these other options out there.

The first thing you need to understand is the power of all the social media and bookmarking sites, an example I can give you is from my own experience of writing a blog then submitting to all the following sites I will talk about, I have checked my stats after 2 hours and found that I have had 100 + views.

Now this is not to bad considering I spend about 10 mins per site to submit, this is after you have joined and signed up to all these sites , you may be overwhelmed at first but do not panic you will be a pro in no time at all.

If you are reading this then you must already have some blogs or websites up and running and your goal is to bring in extra traffic. If you have not got that far yet with having your own sites that is fine also, you can start joining and building relationships with other users by talking about other interesting subjects and sharing photos and video.

As you start joining up to these sites have a notebook to write down your passwords and login information, I suggest you have a new notebook just for this. It only has to be a small notebook. Using different passwords etc for joining up is recommened to stop hackers reaching all your accounts.

This is why I suggest to keep note of this, you will receive emails to confirm that you have joined up and some require you to click on a link in the email to confirm who you are ( this stops fake identities from joining)

The first thing I am going to suggest you do is to use AddThis as a quick and easy way for you to share, you are able to share from each site but as I found you could end up having over a dozen tabs open at once, I was doing this and believe me it gets really confusing.

This is myself and my family, yep just normal people
