Updated on May 9, 2011

Side-effect of tea

Tea is the common drink in the people nowadays; I have seen many of the people drinking a tea after getting up at the morning and after getting up at the afternoon. most of the people do not aware the dangerous side-effect of Tea.
The constituents present in tea are the responsible for these side effects. The main constituents of tea is Nicotine which is also present in tobacco.Another constituents present in tea is Fluoride, which can cause the development of brittle bones and browning of teeth. The negative side effect of tea is much higher than the normal drink of tea.Decaffeinated tea contains more amount of fluoride than non-decaffeinated tea.
Caffeine is a most powerful stimulant and might be a habit forming if it is used for a long time, that's why people of old age have to drink tea daily and if not so they will have headache
and other problem.
*It also can causes sleeplessness in human so if a person has drink it, than he/she cannot sleep if taken at night.
*It also cause an increase in blood sugar level so it is bad news for Diabetic people.
*It may produce an increase in gastric acid secretion so there might be a chance of ulcer in stomach

Not all tea is created equal. Side effects can exist but depends upon on the type of tea, amount and time when taken. Good info.
