When on holiday keep your eyes open for business ideas

When you travel to another country on holiday you will be amazed at the opportunity for home based business ideas that are available to create a new business in your spare time and slowly grow it to a point where it become your primary income.

We were on holiday recently on a small island called Mauritius which is off the Eastern coast of South Africa. A small island and of modest means, we identified a great opportunity for somenone to establish contact with the locals to sell pearl jewelery.

If you sit on their paradise type beaches with crystal clear water, sipping on your favourite cocktail, you know the type with the little umbrella in, you will be inundated with locals selling handmade jewellary. The interesting thing is the cost. Its dirt cheap.

So, being on holiday, i bought my wife a collection of jewelery to the modest value of $200.

We arrived home with heaps of pearls in a variety of different colors for friends and family and some amazing blue crystal rings and necklaces.

Friends were clambering over themselves to get their hands on it.But the funny thing is, we never pursued the idea. For us its a question of time and when our kids are grown, maybe we will have the time to sit down and start it.

So if any ones board or wants to give it a try. Do some pricing research. Contact someone in Mauritius and start an order system with your friends.Take Photos and set up a catalogue.

Here are some of the photos of the jewelery we got for our $200.

Good on you... well done, but the All Blacks will beat the Springboks!!! Are these pearls cultured or natural? I seek wise pearls.
