Gorgeous and sexy ladies, muscled and lean men...from being fat to sexy and lean...these are some of the lures of advertising enticing customers to buy body slimming and muscle-boosting products. Vanity or looking good to the eyes of others is the primary concern of these commercials.
Advertising or commercials cater to all ages, from babies to oldies. All you have to do is to buy products that is suited for you.
Promotional gimmicks for the rulers of a certain kingdom or dynasty can be seen on the painted pictures or statues built for the kings and queens and high dignitaries of their times.
Word-of-mouth was used in order to announce inventions of new machines or things to be shown on public. Even at present times, we always hear people influencing others to use their brand of shampoo, toothpaste, softdrinks, clothing, perfume, soap, et cetera.
Print advertising was widely used in order to promote valuable goods to the royal blood people of the kingdom.
There are three basic kinds of advertising: the print, radio and tv ads. These are all visuals and readable media. Radio spots can be read live every 15 minutes or as the contract indicates.

Walk-in Advertisement are those being presented first to the radio for example by the advertisers and needed to be recorded by radio talents of the production department. (I experienced doing one media project for a local tv station. Our talent kept on reading the idiot board and not really focusing her eyes on the camera. It's tiring and we kept on repeating the same line until we got exhausted. It's so brain draining!)
Print media consist mostly of magazines, newspapers or tabloid ads like direct mails,press releases, classified ads and sponsorship, to name a few. Billboard and posters using tarpolin as printing medium is more durable and used by most advertisers to advertise on major streets in the cities.
Radio and television ads are somewhat related. the contents of the commercial are always the same. The only edge of tv or visual advertising is that you can see the models and the products but it's more costly. The production cost of a particular tv ad can be expensive. It will depend on the negotiation of the owner of the radio or television and the advertiser or the promotional people.
Now, that there are computers accessible to the advertisers, many sites are sponsoring these ads at the same time receiving a commission if the products are bought by prospective clients in the cybermedia or internet world. Online advertising is really a great help especially to starting enterpreneurs, and it's worlwide, mind you!
Anecdotes and Home Stories are also being advertised on television. This is a situational-media type because it advertise particular products through the stories or accounts of consumers who really used it.
Telemarketing is also effective in promoting specific product. There are free taste booths inside a particular mall who are demonstrating a particular brand. People are enticed to taste it and give their remarks, positive or not, in return. Surveys are similar to this kind of advertising.
Public Service Announcement is often used by people or organization who don't have or can't pay radio ads or tv commercials.
Sponsorship is also being promoted by artists or in the movies. Everyday as I watch tv programs, it's the duty of the artist or performer to thank his/her sponsors.

Google Adwords is the latest in online advertising. If your written article about something worthy, it will easily be noticed by Google then Adwords or AdSense will follow through.
Famous online advertisers are eBay and Amazon respectively. I chose the word "advertising" in this hub for the two sites and gave back to my hubpage items that are suited to the word linked at these commercial sites. If someone clicks, really CLICKED on the products being advertised, it's the only time that I can receive my percentage through commission basis. Who knows, you will click it now. This is really broad in the sense that you will need ample time to prepare for the venue, the models, and the availability of the products being promoted.
Line products of brands being promoted as in clothing and perfumery require this kind of advertising.
Every nation has a way to promote their uniqueness or diversities from other countries. This this kind of commercial, the government throught its tourism department will promote valuable products, services and tourist spots that many tourists can enjoy. Tourism industry contributes a lot of revenue to every country and the world.
Models of a certain commercial product will be required to stay slim or never marry or be pregnant for a period of time, let's say one year or so, to promote the product. It is always stipulated in the contract being signed by the contract model
Beauty regimen and lingeries products can also require you to be a pregnant model if it suits the item you are going to model.
Well, the babies are an exception. They didn't know what they are promoting, diapers, baby food, milk and all. The parents know. At least they're earning even they cannot read yet.
Dogs, cats and other animals cannot sign their contracts but their owners do. Okay, they also receive huge goodies and foods for the products they are endorsing.
Life in advertising is rigorous. It will eat much of your time and energy but you'll have your dues according to what you've contributed in the fast lane of advertising.
